Morning Sportsfans and Happy Halloween 🎃 There has been some clamoring for my report already so not wanting to disappoint my fans here it is...

Disappointing result, but a game that looked destined for 0-0 until a couple if howlers from our GK. Of course you can't do much about it and please remember this is the Championship where consistency is thin on the ground...

Onto Birmingham, and clearly the best player on the pitch was Birmingham's No 4 and captain Marc Roberts, I had clocked him well before he opened the scoring. He was imperious in the centre of their central defensive trio. Won everything in the air and didn't give our attackers a sniff. He was a threat from his long throws and ventured up the pitch regularly to support the Blues forward players with a goal to cap a great performance from the big man.
Unfortunately this lad is 31 having plied his trade for Halifax and Barnsley before moving to Brum in 2017.
I'm not putting him in the notebook at 31 but he's just the type of 'leader' we've been missing at the back in recent seasons...Great to see George back also, he played really well on his return.

Looking to the future and the other City player to catch the eye...
Nobby's Choice No.18 Riley McGree.
This lad stood out for me and only playing due to an injury to Tahith Chong the Man Utd loanee.

Always available, energetic, bright and inventive with his play he also put a couple of great crosses in. This Australian is only 22 having already made 5 Apps for the full Aussie national side. He is on loan from MLS side Charlotte FC. Definitely one for the future, he's in the famous notebook.

PS - Simply Red tried to steal my thunder with this one. But remember this is the ONLY Official 'Nobby's Notebook' thread 👍😂🎃

Always thought Nobby was deluded - I underestimated to what extent! Excruciatingly embarrassing a grown man goes on like this……
Nosmo this a a disgrace, you know fine well I haven't edited my Notebook post from the Birmingham game...
