Five guys

Fair enough. I'm not moaning, just asking a question as it just seems steep to me!
It’s steep if you look at it compared to what a McDonald’s costs but it doesn’t taste like what a McDonald’s tastes. It’s not somewhere I’d go to every day but then neither is McDonald’s and if I was gonna have something, I’d pay the extra. I’d rather go to 5 guys than tgi Fridays or Pizza Hut for example & you can be in and out in a short space of time. I’ll defo be hammering some bacon milkshakes, with pretty much everything added in.

I didn’t mind O’Brien’s sandwich bar but the one in darlo closed a while back . I’d rather pay for better quality than a Fatsos .
Just a matter of time before Popeyes and Wendy’s open in the area

I do think their prices are on the higher side for what you get. But they are nice.

I'd probably end up going once very couple of months or so so don't mind paying the extra few quid compared to a BK, McDonalds or KFC etc.

I remember my mate going for the first time and ordered a burger and seen the price, so he didn't get any toppings because he thought the toppings weren't included in the price 🙃

I'll be going in a few weeks once things have calmed down and the staff have all settled in. Had one in Covent Garden few weeks back and it was epic, really enjoyed it. Think it was about £32 for 2 x bacon cheeseburger, large fries (huge) and 2 drinks, couldn't really grumble with that.
Thats cheaper than a meal for two in a local pub so the price really isnt that bad, especially with how nice they are compared to other places selling similar

Anyone moaning over the price quite simply isn’t their demographic - they will do very well and they’re usually always busy. It’s like going out to a pizza joint and moaning it’s bit as cheap as a takeaway pizza. It’s not fine dining but it’s miles better than kfc / McDonald’s etc

But its not as good as BK

Went to the Five guys near Kings Cross. Son said it was nice. With the Mrs and her sister so I said I would get them
It was really nice but the bill was a bit scary for burger chips and a drink 5 times.

I'll wait a week before going.
I know it's more expensive than MacD etc but it's also better quality, and 13 quid for burger and fries isn't breaking the bank is it. On a par with Nandos in that regard.

Just been to one in Sheffield, obviously not the best burger in the world but it’s levels above McDonald’s and Burger King etc.

I don't mind five guys. If you think it's too expensive then go to macdonlds or burger King. I mean it's not hard😂

I especially like the weird and wonderful selections and creations you can do with the fizzy drinks machine. Although so many choices it's difficult lol.

We are booked to go here on Friday. I think if you are going to somewhere like 5G or M+C for a steak you know how much it is going to cost and the only issue you should have is that if your food isn't up to scratch.

Evolution

I think that place closed down in the early 2000's - that was the last time I saw one in the USA - tomatoes were like the ice that sank the Titanic.

Still around out West at least (drastically scaled back though), when I left the US a couple of years back.
