Not sure getting the money is an issue and if we're short we can always ask walletgate fella as he seemed to manage ok
If he's one of the ones still. Available to sponsor we can vote on him. That's the fun of it. Gives us an extra talking point for the year.Has to be bola surely
OK lets go with Bola.If he's one of the ones still. Available to sponsor we can vote on him. That's the fun of it. Gives us an extra talking point for the year.
Ha, I'll email everyone this week after I've heard back from the club.OK lets go with Bola.
How much do you want?
I'm going to email the 'link' person in the club to see if we could all pay them using our own credit cards. I can't see how that would be an issue for them and it saves anyone having to deal with money. Plus, makes it easier for those of us outside of the UK.
They want the sponsorship so I'm sure ,as a business, they'll make it work.
Well, let's see what they say. Have to focus on each option in turn. They may also have other ideas / options. There is absolutely no way the club will accept 30+ people getting in touch to make individual contributions.
Imagine a week/10 days go past and they haven't received all the contributions - do you think they will be happy to have to start refunding everyone.

If we are all saying we are going to pay then I'm sure we will pay.
I don't think go fund me would be an option as we /Boro aren't a charity.
Maybe different rules in the UK.I'll be amazed if they do but we'll see what they say.
I haven't looked into Go Fund Me in depth but I don't think there is any requirement to be a charity to use the scheme.
As per the club website(click on where it says info for the details) , the money goes to the club , we sponsor a player . For that , we get a bit of publicity and ,I think, a signed shirt which could randomly assign to one of the donors or do with whatever the group chose to do.
Info
I would donate the shirts to charity. Zoe's Place is absolutely desperate right now. From what I gather you get a signed shirt AND a framed shirt too.
How will you decide who gets to keep them, and which player will be sponsored?

If people wish we can do a random draw or try to raise money for charity.
As per the club website, we can select from whom is left , if we proceed, simple poll
We could vote on that but it's a good idea. We still need more people to sign up to make it viable.I'd suggest both are raffled off (either by the board or the nominated charity) and I'd be more than happy for Zoe's Place to be the beneficiary.
We are proceeding under the FMTTM banner - that's how people voted.I'm interested prefer it as FMTTM, but will go with the majority. Will message you buffaloboro with my contact details.
We have a total of 15 , including me,who have contacted me directly . There were more who said they would do it, so still need keep promoting the idea.( 31 said yes/if the price is right in the initial poll).
If they all replied. To me we would be at a price range per person that's viable for most.
I'll put you on the email group, cheers.Dropped you a message yesterday but not had a reply,
