Fool if you think it's over-Chris Rea

There is an interesting cover of this song and I've posted the link. Read the information given by the up loader ( Jorge m)- basically there was a huge legal wrangle in the USA re both versions. I tried to copy what was written on you tube but I couldn't.
I think this is a better version.. Any thoughts?

Ha, I think it's a bit clearer, try to read the article about it. They would have been released in the USA at the same time. Rea never made it in the USA, I don't think he wanted to tour over here

Whatever happened to Benny Santini is a magnificent album
A little bit of trivia for you about that album. My brother, who is no longer with us, was a roadie for Chris Rea. Both before and after Chris was signed to a record deal.

He had an agreement that if Chris made an album my brother would get a playing credit on it. So he got a credit on one of the tracks on that album. For percussion (clams). Apparently this was a reference to his loud and smelly farts in the van when they were going to gigs.

Sorry to hear about your brother , may I ask if it was financially worthwhile?

Sorry to hear that spanishman
It was a few years ago now. He is still with me on the golf course though. As I have a pitch mark repairer and ball marker that I got from Romanby Golf Club. The day after we had been in England for the funeral.

My brother and I used to play at Romanby with my wife in the 90s. When we were back from London to visit my parents. When all 3 of us were beginners.

Sorry Buffalo great song gash version.
Saw him first perform it as support act for Lindisfarne at their Christmas concert in 1978.
Seen him many times since the last time was at the Sage just a week before he collapsed on stage in Oxford December 2017. Been trying on and off since then to find out how he's getting on but news is hard to come by
