Ferguson takes them down for me - might improve the morale but I'm dubious about his tactical flexibility in the modern game. So hopefully he gets appointed.

He's not, he says he's just out of energy with it all and ready to let go. When he started supporting them they were champions. His Dad was also a lifelong fan and they are from the West Lancashire area (not quite Merseyside) but he says its just been a gradual and fragmented decline since with no joy aside from the 95 cup win.
