Looks like I might have seen The Flying Pickets at the Tramshed in 1982. According to this they were supporting Lenny Henry.
I had completely forgotten Lenny Henry. They really did steal the show.

If I had to pick one voice from the 70s I would pick Paul Rodgers.

Ta. This has just caused me to add Tom Robinson Band top tracks to my Spotify playlists. I used to listen to their stuff a lot years ago.Hmmm, not sure about the "as always" no sign of Tina Charles or Barry Blue... yet!
