Fury vs Chisora

Cheers parma, you're a star.

Well that went exactly as I expected, no drama, 1 in a 1,000 chance of CHisora landing an early shot otherwise a slow and painful to watch beating
Weird, uncomfortable viewing. Fury essentially sparring from round 3 onwards.

Then to top it all off, Fury decides to go all Stone Cold Steve Austin on Usyk.

Disgraceful that he wasn't pulled by the end of the 8th
Yes everybody knows Derek is too brave to call it so his corner should and they were having none of it. With “friends” like that who needs enemies.

Time for Chisora to call it a day - he’s fought many top fighters , he must have made his money - time to walk away whilst he still can.

Apparently has a guaranteed purse of £3mil for tonight so I'd say he'll be OK. I doubt he's ever collected a mil before tonight.

Fury was taking in excess of £20mil for tonight by the way. So although they are good mates, he only offered an 85/15 purse split.

Pity one of the post fight interviews didn’t ask that question or the fact Fury isn’t doing this for the money, that he has mentioned lots of times.

All champs take easy money where offered , he,s the same , easy rounds , big pay day , what did you expect ? he is a class apart , any sane individual knew this , either buying a ticket or ppv. it was a crap match that should never have been made , but it was soleley because many won,t fight fury ......he is the champ/box office , he dictates terms ?

Do all “champs” take money where offered?
maybe you are a new boxing fan.

what did I expect?
Yet another Fury win

if it’s true that Chisora got 15% of the purse, then little wonder that this was Tyson Fury’s opponent tonight

Without doubt the general tone of comments on social media is certainly turning away from him. Not on his ability just in the utter boll0cks he comes out with and sheer disdain he shows for his fans with so many easy opponents he picks .
But there's really only 2 fights where the risk of losing is worth Fury fighting someone who might beat him (and one of those AJ) is debatable, any other fight against some up and coming hungry fighter only provides risk, so he'll take the easy £££ against fighters he knows he will beat 99/100

Fury just isn’t motivated and hates the discipline required for a hard camp. He likes easy fights because then he doesn’t have to train as hard. A fully on it Fury with a good camp beats all other heavyweights apart from Usyk with ease. With Usyk he has a huge size advantage which likely gives him the edge but it will be the first time he fought someone more skilled than him which is what makes it interesting.

His last 4 fights are wilder wilder whyte and chisora

Whyte at the time of the fight being made was defined as a top 5 fighter. He was made to look second class

Chisora was his first hand picked easy fight out the last 4

Yes but look at the rest since he came back, Seferi a joke, Pianetta, Schwarz, I know Wallin gave him a challenge because of the cut but it was expected to be easy. He didn’t have a choice with Whyte it was an enforced mandatory, yea it was easy for him but he still did his best to wriggle out of it with pathetic purse split offers. He doesn’t like challenging himself.

Just ignore it, this lot have lost their marbles on here where Fury is concerned.

When AJ was fighting the likes of Molina, Takam, Breazeale and even Ruiz to some extent he was building this “incredible resume”. Fury has just fought Wilder twice, Whyte and then had a keep warm fight against Chisora and it’s unacceptable.

Just by bringing Wilder up we will now have to listen to how garbage Wilder is, who has he ever beat etc.

For what it’s worth I didn’t watch the fight last night, it was never going to be very competitive but it’s a ticking over fight for a man who is known to get wildly out of shape if he goes a long time between fights. Boxers have done this forever and a day, it’s nothing new, especially off the back of the run he’s just been on. It’s exactly what AJ should do now and probably will do now if his team have any sense. It’s no different to Floyd fighting Robert Guerrero before Canelo or Baldomir before de la Hoya.

No doubt he will go on to fight Usyk or Joyce now.
