Fury Wilder III

Anyone see the press conference yesterday? Wilder refused to be involved turned up in shades with headphones on, refused to take them off except for a 4 line monologue about how he would decapitate Fury, then sat down and played with his phone and listened to his tunes.

I think Wilder is utterly broken. Scared to hear the truth about his last defeat, his ego simply couldn't take it.

His trainer spoke for him, and Fury mocked the fact he had bust both the trainer and Wilders eardrums in the ring. He absolutely owned them again.

Now everyone knows Wilder can't fight on the back foot he is pretty much finished.

Still has that right hand which is lethal, but I imagine Fury will just walk him down again.

Yes they could fight 10 times and Wilders right hand would win one of them, the other 9 Fury will walk through him.

It seems to me that Fury is deep in Wilders head from last time. The refusal to engage in discussion is because he got beasted in and out the ring. Wilder's ego refuses to let him accept the defeat was legit, and you can't learn if you don't accept your failures.

I reckon the stare off, Wilder played it in his head that he was gonna be mean, quiet, brooding, and the talk of decapitation would get Fury to break the stare first, it didn't play out like Wilder thought it would, it proved who was the more determined and mentally strong out of the two men.

If it goes past 3 rounds then Fury will beat him up again. Wilder was gassed after 2 last time because he can't take a shot and has poor defence, and of course he is light for a heavweight and can't compete physically on the inside.

No one really wants this fight, there is nothing to prove, with last time being so emphatic, but I'll still watch and hope to see youtube clips of Whyte laughing his head off again afterwards.

I agree with this, Fury has his number inside and outside the ring and Wilder knows it.

All the talk about Fury having loaded gloves and taking PEDS then when Wilder gets a chance to confront him he sits with his head phones on.

I see Wilder has since been interviewed and has dropped hints again about wanting to kill a man in the ring. I don't mind promoting a fight but that isn't in the best taste when fighters have been killed/ seriously injured in the ring in the last few years. I actually think Mark Breland might have saved Wilder from being seriously injured in the second fight so he wants to be careful with what he is wishing for.

I would be very very surprised if this fight happens - mark my words.Wilder doesn’t want another beat down he just wanted to block the unification. He is surrounded by yes men and his new trainer Malik Scott was involved in one of the strangest fights I have ever seen (literally running away from his opponent the whole fight until he got ko’d).

Wilder will pull out before the fight trust me.

mysteries injury? Probably during a ring costume fitting.

Wilder was just hoping get a nice $20M payday to stand aside for Joshua, bet he was gutted when that was knocked back and the fight arranged.

I think Joshua has by far the more dangerous opponent in Usyk (dangerous in terms of actually knowing how to move his feet). That won't be easy.

If Wilder wanted the step aside money, I’m sure he could easily have had it by approaching Hearn. My guess is he wanted to cause as much disruption as possible to the unification fight, knowing if he can get hold of the belt again, he’s getting the unification money. Albeit there would be less on the table than for Fury v Joshua.

I’m interested to know what sort of drug testing regime there is for this fight. Wilder could resort to using banned substances if he doesn’t feel he could beat Fury naturally. It’s certainly something I’d be insisting is tested thoroughly if I were Fury.

He couldn't approach Hearn for step aside cash as its on Bob, Bricktop and Top Rank.

Cant imagine Fury will want strict drug testing with his track record.

Who was Malik fighting FC?

No but if Hearn was well aware the deal was there to be done, he could have been the mediator between all parties and the money men. I dare say Joshua would have agreed to put a percentage in from his pay check to get the fight done.

Cant agree bud. The thing that annoys me is that Bob and Bricktop never even put an offer to Wilder, Which tells me they was never serious about the AJ fight.

regardless of these boxers perceived abilities, what has become more and more clear is that neither Fury or Wilder's management have fancied taking on AJ. That's pretty much a fact now.

Was this the Ortiz fight in Monte Carlo by any chance?

I expect fury to win but it's a bit of a banana skin..... Don't think fury has been avoiding AJ mainly because he thinks he will beat him, and he will, in fact he'll stop him in the later rounds 8-12.🥊🥊
