Just curious what your readings are today so far . I have no heating in today and haven’t used hot water . Feel free to drop a pic93FB4B75-E4BD-4081-AD2F-AE22222F6E86.jpeg

First time I’ve plugged mine in yesterday I unplugged it after a week probably over 2 yrs ago now . Curious to see what having the heating on a day costs eventually. Just turned the pre heat off the combi mind

Can't see the point of smart meters,if I have the heating I'm know I'm using gas.
I don't need an LCD display to tell me that....
Thanks 👍
That was my opinion when the meters were installed but since the massive increase I’ve plugged it in to see exactly what’s what .
No doubt itl multiply with the heating on .

Antony : Hey, Dad.

Jim Royle : [grunting] Hm?

Antony : Where were you when Kennedy was shot? Because everyone's supposed to remember where they were.

Jim : Kennedy dead? When?

[everyone laughs]

Jim : I don't know where the bloody hell I was, but wherever I was - there's a bloody good chance our immersion heater was on!

I'm not sure my smart meter has changed. I've looked at it and nothing really seems different.

It goes briefly into the red whenever my fridge freezer kicks in. That's it.

All standard stuff on stby or 'on' seems not to have made any difference.

To be fair I had a message off my provider (OVO) saying I'm well in credit (over £700) and they will monitor my usage and ammemd my DD as required. So does this mean its not gone up? I've had nothing as yet to say its increased. You'd have thought they would have let me know by now.

I run a huge pond pump and 5 POE cameras and a NVR. and a NAS box and a Intel NUC (home assistant) all 24x7. Our electricity is higher than most due to these. probably just for these is £50-60/month. Might have to turn off a couple of cameras......

My brother has had his immersion on for a few month in the house he’d just moved into it cost a fare bit and that was before e every went up so turned it off just in time

What do you have in the pond sadgit?
(Other than water of course!)

I was surprised how much the standing charges are for B/G in the North East - its about £0.80 per day (when I checked in July), even if you don't use any electric or gas.
