GB stickers on cars no longer valid

Penalties will apply and you may not be allowed entry into some countries. You now need a UK sticker. Also GB number plates are no longer valid; you need a UK sticker on the car.

Why? The UK government seems to have made the change to make things more difficult for UK citizens. Thankfully the United Nations have let us know in lieu of the government not bothering to tell us. In fact in January we were told it would continue to be GB by Shapps.

I discovered that when I looked to see if I could get an EU number plate. They, too, are nolonger valid. If you want anything, you need to be a flag shagger.
 
Funny how brexit, which promised to reduce red tape. Has increased red tape.

It's almost as if the leave campaign lied
 
Off to Cyprus in October and France/Belgium in December. So as a good citizen I popped to the PO and picked up a IDL. Oh no mate you need 2 or them and £5.50 each for a 2 bit of card. I understand the BREXIT shoite so don't need to hear it. However why 2 for Countries both in the EU and would drivers from them Countries need to also purchase cards for other Countries.

According to hm.gov site you don't need one for Cyprus, France or Belgium unless you have a paper licence.

The PO was adamant these were needed, Who has a paper one nowadays. Will never be checked or recognised. Not bought yet but will need to check deeper. Cheers Bear.

I have a paper licence and there are not replacing them with the card at present - which can be a problem for photo ID if you have no passport. I just googled and 7 million of us still have a paper licence.
 
Should always have been UK in the first place, same as at the Olympics.

Though I'm not sure I trust this government has done it just to correct a fault.

Just who am I
Passport says I am a British citizen but whenever I am on the net and that drop down list of countries appears British is never on the list. and neither is English.
