Gentry Day for PNE this year is at Boro

Per PNE....
Preston North End will head to the Riverside Stadium for the club’s annual Gentry Day fixture on Saturday 18th March.

The club have been allocated 2,118 tickets for this game and, as of Friday 17th March, around 1,650 tickets had been sold.

North End Gentry day is a fan organised event and is in memory of any Preston North End follower or player who may have passed away in the last 12 months.

They have voted for Boro to be the location this year and many will be wearing bowler hats and some in suits, so hope that Boro fans greet them well on this annual event.

I think this is a marvellous idea and as of yesterday they had sold over 1500 tickets for Saturday so will be a good turnout.

Gentry Day
Chapeau to the guys from PNE .

Looking forward to seeing all the Preston Gentry tomorrow.
I mentioned it to Michael Carrick this week as well at the press conference - he was impressed.

"Yes, I think that is fantastic... to generate the atmosphere, to have away fans. We have certainly taken enough when we go places, every single game. And it does make a difference within the stadium so and I am sure it will be a good atmosphere on Saturday, I am looking forward to it and hopefully everyone is desperate to get down there and support the boys."

Will be great to have fun and banter between both sets of fans for a change.
A "Theme" match might be a good idea for fans at the Riverside?

Good on Preston fans for having this day and bringing over 1600 fans.

There will be a big crowd today - Boro are selling blocks 54 and 55 as per Reading game, so close to 26,500 Boro fans add in Preston fans and its 28,000. Third highest crowd of the season.

We have our own very special theme waiting to be used again " ......we shall overcome some day...." we can nominate a charity to benefit from the activities around it, maybe 1 at home and 1 on the road

I`ve never heard of it.
I was thinking we could have a "Teesside" theme - where people come dressed in Chemical suits or NBC suits - or dressed up as the Transporter or as Brian clough?
