Glastonbury Line Up Out

The weather can't spoil Glastonbury, but it can make it hard work. I was at the last muddy fest (2016 IIRC) we weren't even able to get into the car parks, we were stuck for over four hours barely moving on the A361. Had to pitch in Pylon field when we finally got in at about 9pm. The odd thing was that most of the rain fell during the nights so didn't get wet much, but by the Sunday the mud was knee deep in places, they had put a lot of woodchip down to try to soak it up but they ran out by the Saturday, it was such a hard slog to walk even from Pyramid to West Holts that I just parked myself at WH and then trudged back to the tent when WH closed, I had no energy for any late night shenanigans. If you are going for the first time it is impossible to understand how huge the site is. People joke about "getting fit for Glastonbury" but it really is a thing you will walk for miles unless you just park yourselves on the hill above Pyramid! But if you do that you are missing so much that makes Glastonbury an experience more than simply a "Music Festival"

Anyway, I'm very jealous of those who got tickets. Make sure you look after the farm for me and "leave no trace" (take all your stuff away with you).

Peace out.

Yes. We had a camper for 2016 and couldn’t get on site so we’re diverted to The Bath and West Show Ground as a holding site. Eventually they let us stay there and organised buses from there to the site 24 hrs. Since then they use it as an official camper site.

Preparing to travel this afternoon with a stop off in Wiltshire. To all those going off here have a great festival. Weather looks mixed but what would G be without a bit of rain. Ill be at the Brothers cider stall by West Holts at about 3pm tomorrow and Avalon Bar from 5pm. Elvana at Williams Green for the first music. @1finny enjoy the clamping, @Humpty enjoy your first trip you will have a ball. @Zoophonic have a great time in the camper. And to any others safe journey down!

Enjoy guys! I always grumble when the line up is released and think "my glastonbury days are behind me" but there's probably nowhere else I'd rather be this afternoon than settled in outside that Cider bus. Although the festival changed for me when they stopped selling the two litre bottles! :)

Yes - have fun everyone.

I was all set to go up until last week when it was confirmed there’d been a problem with my payment to SeeTickets. Absolutely gutted.
Then, offered 2 tickets yesterday for £1k but it didn’t feel right paying over face value when they try and do everything to prevent that.

Ah that's unfortunate. Did you not contact them when your tickets didn't arrive last month? Will you get a refund on Love Fields? Sorry you won't make it this year.

PS Didn't know you could buy on the blackmarket with the photos on the tickets and all that.

Saw the waterboys recently and they just get better, well worth a look if they are your cup of char

Got my refund on tickets (its a long story)
No refund from love fields but my son’s friends are getting married at Glasto and I’ve donated my pitched tent to them - they will love it.
No refund on VW van hire also.

The locals get tcikets from Glasto without photos - they sell them on at the last minute if the price is right.

Enjoy yourself

Thanks @Cardiffdaffs dropping the little fella (not that one) off at mum and dads in Stockton tomorrow afternoon. Back to Leeds and a 5am departure on Thursday morning. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve right now. Enjoy all!
