Glastonbury Tickets

Keep trying even though sold out some people will have payment declined, put wrong details in etc, friend of mine just got through and got some, see you in the fields hopefully, tickets bought, camper van next!!!

Honestly mate don't give up keep trying for next few hours if needs be, been going for decades and several times seen people get tickets afterwards due to above^

Not a sniff holding page and no further. I think prefer it when it sells out in 20 minutes. An hour and twenty - gonna need a new F5 key

F*** me
One of my 2 groups has just got confirmation for the 6 of us at 10:19, well after 'sold out' messages started.

Well, f*** me sideways with a feather. I'm back in!!!!

I missed out this morning, I got as far as the payment section but the site stopped working. The same thing happened with Silverstone GP. I dont think our internet/websites for high demand ticket sales are up to the job. There could be some more on sale in the spring apparently.

I put the payment details in, got multiple spinny wheels, then site unavailable message.
Metaphorically kicked the cat, put the kettle on, cursed luck, then got a confirmation email. Elated even though the tickets aren't for me.

Same problems as many with the site apparently being run on a ZX80.
Not overly fussed as it seems to become harder every year to get tickets so my expectations were low. I'm thinking of trying a festival in Europe next summer.

My daughter missed out, which is a shame as she will be leaving the UK in May 24 so last chance to go really.

However, she went to Sizget(?) in Hungary this year and will go again next year - really enjoyed it

Most Festivals really are overrated - you usually get a better atmosphere at a little indoor gig with a few hundred there, and the band aren’t a dot in the distance as the rain plops down on your bounce 😵‍💫 Next gig for me is Skids at The Georgian next Friday, and i bet it’ll be a better atmosphere than Glasto 😃

I was lucky. Again had almost given up but 10 mins after See Tickets put the sold out sign up one of our group got through and managed to buy!

Festivals and gigs are different things. In terms of being able to see a whole weekend of music (and other stuff) in a field with mates, festivals are pretty damn good. And you can often get to see emerging artists in really quite intimate "pop up" gigssDSCN0110.jpg
Glastonbury 2016 Michael Kiwanuka plays to about 100 people in "The Crow's Nest" micro stage.

And the really big plus, if the band in front of you are not doing it for you, a short walk will get you to watch a different band. Festivals are not just about ticking off seeing Macca or whoever is on the big stage in a biblical downpour they are also about wandering into a tent and finding a band you've never heard (and you will probably never remember the name of) getting the place bouncing.

Love festivals, love small gigs too (I'm at The Cluny tomorrow night)
