Got to give Mogga some credit

Weird how he couldn’t build a good defence here to save his life (the reliance on Jason Steele didn’t help) but Blackburn look really solid.

***** ref who got plenty wrong, but they did well to play as they did given how many key players were missing.

We can't buy a win against Mowbray.

Had them very well organised. Performing miracles with what is largely a midtable squad. They won't go up though and I wouldn't be surprised if they drop out of the playoffs actually.

Keeping Diaz could be critical for them.

I’m not sure they will drop out of the playoffs.I saw enough last night to ensure they will stay in the play off positions for sure. He’s done a magnificent job with a tight budget. However he is definitely unappreciated by a fair few Blackburn fans reading their messageboard.

They were set up like an away team. Went along with a Blackburn fan and on the way over he was saying that they like to sit deep and hit teams on the break. Think they have one of the lowest % possession stats in the league. Soon as he said that I knew we would struggle. Was similar against Blackpool and the way they play.

Our biggest problem is our reliance on Jones. It isn't a dig at Taylor becuase he has come in and defensively he is really solid. But going forward he offers nothing so it makes us very predictable. They gave Crooks and Jones no space in the first half and we had no other options at all

snuffed crooks / jones on the right in the 1st half ... 2nd was much better, found room for jones and the chances came ... and went

Nullified our main threats first half. Wilder sharpened us up 2nd half, but we didn’t take our chances. I would still expect Blackburn to dip, as they play at a ferocious pace, and it’s still a long long season.
They played a 3 man forward line mid-press, with a 4 man midfield behind to stop us passing into midfielders in space. Forced us to play long under pressure.

Our players failed to work out a plan B, which was pretty bloody obvious to be honest, stretch the pitch then ping it to Crooks, taking at least 5 of their players out of play.

Blackburn's tactics worked first half, because we failed to use our heads and work the problem out.

Second half we were in the ascendancy (when coaching staff worked the problem out for them), and in all honesty could have won that second half 4-1 if we could actually hit the target without hitting the only defender on the line and the ref didn't bottle his job.

I really enjoyed the game. They did set up to nulify us playing the ball out of the back really well.

In a game like that a plan B as above would have been really useful. Warnock second ball football would likely have got us over the top/ sweeping up second balls well I think in the first half. But its difficult to change I think as we have our own game plan too which has served us well in the last few months.

Was physical but didn't think it was a dirty game specifically. Cynical fouls both sides for most of the cards.
