Govt loses £4.3bn

It’s ok, they can soon recover it in a jiffy at the budget from the unsuspecting taxpayers of the UK. It is only about £2.66 pw each (or so) for a year shared equally between us.

Its probably the equivalent of the hospitality and suitcase expenses at Downing Street during lockdown. Fishy Rishi will not be perturbed and thats all that matters, the timing helps us to stop reflecting on poor old Buffoon head for a few hours too, he needs a break bless

Plus a Billion to the DUP to prop up May`s failing Govt.
But money doesnt grow on trees you know.
Just apples where there`s orchards.
We need to cut public spending and the quality of life to pay for "our" debt you know!

Will they have the audacity to hide there mates deals in amongst the Covid Fraudsters?

I believe they probably will

The application process for the furlough payments was crazy.

I had to say how many people on our payroll we were claiming for, then fill out their names and NI numbers, so I expected it to be like a formal payroll process where I'd have to then give a breakdown for each individual employee. Instead, the website just gave one box to enter in the total value we were claiming. It was literally "whack a huge number in this box then give us your bank details and we'll pay it, no questions asked".

Hardly surprising that fraud was rampant.
