Great covers

Nirvana the man who sold the world, a great cover of a great cover.

Also a great cover of a great cover, U2 Helter Skelter “Charles Manson stole this song from the Beatles, we’re stealing it back”

Kate Bush never seemed to have two songs sound the same.

There's a version of her covering "Comfortably Numb" with Dave Gilmour which sound great, but the video quality is awful. I'm sure, knowing what experimenting perfectionists they both are, there are some fantastic recordings of them rehearsing.

There’s a few that spring to mind:
Neil Young’s Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues at the 30th Dylan Anniversary gig
John Martyn’s Somewhere Over The Rainbow on his Live atLeeds album
Natalie Merchant’s versions of Space Oddity and After the Goldrush on her live album from the late 90’s

I once spent a day working with Marvin Hamlisch, who wrote it with Carol Bayer Sager. He was a true gentleman, and played this unrehearsed, cos I'd mentioned how much I loved it.

I've just randomly heard a cover of Just Like Heaven by AFI on YouTube. At some MTV awards show.

With Smith watching.

It was incredible, even brought a smile to Robert's face.

From Yes first album. All the tracks had 2 minutes of crazy introduction
Loved it ! Every little thing
