Great win today, Warnock supporters need to be very sheepish

We are looking like a team - thank God. The recent months it has been obvious to the majority we were standing still at best, going backwards at worst,

Yet still a few posters felt the need to unreservedly back Warnock - without any solid base to back this up.

We are now witnessing the team is better than some of the lamentable performances witnessed under Warnock. To not be fit enough to compete is a truly ridiculous fact. Can we last 90 plus minutes? Not yet. However the style and pattern of play is encouraging - something we could only dream under Warnock. I wonder if those who steadfastly backed Warnock have the balls to stand up and admit they got it wrong?

I would doubt this - but hey, who knows?!

Why create a post off the back of a great win to bash supporters with different views to your own? What a negative outlook. Just enjoy the win.

I never wanted him out. I'm also not a 'supporter'. Just think it was a natural progression.

He did a great job to keep us up. That almost entitled him to a new contract.

We clearly went in different directions due to Scott and his contract length. I think Wilder is a stunning appointment. The LMA manager of the year in 2019 beating Pep.

I'm not sure you need to comment as a negative. We could have won all 3 undetf Wilder....maybe should have have? Yet the same could be said of many Warnock games.

I've seen enough in 3 games to definitely say the 'style' is better. Yet not sure it's a slight on Warnock.

He brought in Crooks/Watmore/Bamba and Peltier next to nothing. All have been superb.

I liked Warnock, he was entertaining for a bit and seems like a decent fella, but his tenure had ran its course and we're seeing now what was missing. He also soured my view of him with his comments when he left.

Onwards and upwards though, lots to be positive about.

Warnock supporters to be sheepish! I think you'll find it's a case of Boro supporters only. Warnock did a great job stopping League One oblivion and deserves a bit of respect for that.

Definitely. I have nothing but respect for him. He arguably did a better job than any other manager in my lifetime. I doubt anyone other than Warnock could have prevented relegation that season.
Venables maybe but I think you could be right. I think some fans need to go back to that Swansea game and the feeling of desperation and what he came in and did

Early days, but signs are the squad is capable of playing a more expansive style and that many players will benefit significantly from it.

Many of the Warnock fan club were adamant the squad was nowhere near good enough and that Warnock's hoof ball and embarrassingly basic tactics were all they were capable of.

That some think the style of football hasn't changed much is staggering, but then people see what they want to see.

Good call with Venables actually and you're right about the Swansea game and how bad it looked right then. To turn that around showed Warnock at his very best. He's also a decent bloke. Surely we can all see that.

Dijksteel & Bola back from injury.. 1.3ppg

That's overselling it massively.

Warnock did a great job keeping us up, and was okay here overall, but the reason we were so far down the table in the first place was because of Woodgate's incompetence.

To stay up, we beat a Stoke that were struggling almost as badly as we were, a Sheffield Wednesday that were relegated the next season, and lost to a truly awful Hull and a QPR that were utterly unable to keep a clean sheet.

We would have stayed up even if we'd won 2 and drawn 1 out of the 8 games that Warnock was in charge for.
Many, many managers could manage 2 wins and a draw in 8 with a squad that had largely been there for a 7th placed finish the season before.

@Nosmo-King, im probably in that group

As you know I've mentioned on here a number of times how much I wanted NW at our football club & was so happy when he became our manager, he saved us from certain relegation & heaven knows what was to follow, I still wanted him to stay the day he left, i was disappointed, but thats football, one thing is certain in football, the sack

Me jumping on here after each defeat is not going to get Steve Gibson to think of removing NW earlier than he did, i've never done it before & wont start now

I really hope CW, who I will support through thick & thin, because he's our manager, is here longer than any Boro manager we've had at the Riverside which will mean he's doing everything right, we're moving in the right direction, as i think, no matter what the OP title implies, all us Boro fans want the same thing

Its like having a pop at the fans who dont go to games instead of praising the fans who went

Lets remember the two names that are constantly mentioned on here & rightly so & will llay a big part in this & hopefully next season, were signed by NW

You're the last poster id have a go at on here as you well know, so appologies upfront, but, the headline should have been edited

UTMB, upwards & onwards

Absolutely 👍 those 2 back from injury makes a big difference to our defence....Pretty sure Neil gets more than 4 points from our last 3 fixtures 👍
We didn’t once put a performance like that in under Warnock. Surely today shows the right choice was made. Wilder has completely transformed these players already based on today and for the first time in years it was actually extremely enjoyable to watch

Don't be so silly, we had some great results and performances under Warnock. I guess you need a reminder ?

In fact after a great 2-0 victory away against Forest you said....

"Saying that they could have played all night and wouldn’t have scored again, we were brilliant tonight"

I don't think it's overselling it, but respect your opinion on things.
