Haas confirm Schumacher and Mazepin for 2022

I think Haas need the money Mazapin brings in and I don't think Schumacher has proved himself just yet, but I'm sure he will and their respective paths in the sport will follow very different directions.
It could also be very different next year with the new cars, we do need the retain all of the teams with perhaps a couple more?
Anyway lets hope for a good race this weekend without incidents and see the drivers display their skills.

Gene Haas must be pouring millions into his team, I was sure I picked up from the Drive to Survive series that he would take any opportunity to get out of F1 and is just going to see what next season brings. Been at the back of the gird for too long and not doing his business reputation any favours. I doo wish them luck next year, their team principal is a good turn!

Schumacher also brings money in. One of their sponsors wanted a German driver

1&1 must be the sponsor in question?
Happy for Schumacher, has never been given the chance to show what he can do this season in a car that Haas have said they aren't doing any work to as they are focused on 2022.

Yeah. I know they don't bring in a such as Uralkali though but it was part of the reason they wanted Mick. I imagine from a sponsorship point of view his surname is handy anyway

Imagine the chaos Mazepin is going to cause if next years Haas is actually fast enough to compete with the other cars.

Sadly mazepin and stroll are a symbol of all what is wrong with modern f1 and makes a mockery of the worlds best drivers boast.

Looks like Zhou will take the seat, yet another pay driver when so many top drivers are without a team
Yeah, such is the way with F1. Either driving or politics. I imagine China is a big TV market to tap, and liberty wouldn't mind having a Chinese driver on the grid. I imagine Bernie would have favoured Zhou too.

Agree. Although didn't Perez start out as a pay driver too? Was he not one of Carlos Slims projects?
Yes to a degree but He wasnt his son though that’s my issue

we’ve always had paid drivers as let’s be honest they all are now to a degree it’s about what you can offer financially as well as driver ability and even Lewis was heavily bank rolled by big Ron but it was talent based as were the majority ( otherwise you don’t last long) but this is different this is daddy buying them a seat for well how long they want really not just a drive but a seat.
