He's a bit of a prat back in the Brentford play off games, but for a fairly cheap but experienced championship CB we could do worse. We have a soft centre in our defence, and he isn't the type to allow himself to be bullied. 300 games at this level too

sorry, I did mean to say, as a squad player, we need 5 CBs, I agree probably not quite what we need for promotion as first choice

I would hope we went for a younger player with potential who may provide competition to the first team rather than a journeyman.

Or someone who has just won it and was brilliant for Fulham. Tim Ream was excellent at The Riverside and got cast aside last time they were in the PL.

I think we need 2 older experienced players, 2 in their prime and one youngster. Ream is a great organiser and tough as old boots, maybe it's time for him to leave Fulham too as he is too long in the tooth for the prem

I'd take him as backup as he's presumably cheap (and available).

No way he takes a place over the current back three (but that's not to say we might sign someone who will - think we probably need two more CBs)

If he's only good enough for Birmingham to loan out to a League 1 team (at age 30 btw), then no way should he be on our radar.
