Will Isaiah reach his potential at boro?

I suppose that’s just opinions isn’t it, I don’t believe he is good enough and I am yet to be proven right or wrong. Time will tell.
You're entitled to your opinion, but it is a pretty rubbish opinion. I'd buy a new one if I were you.

Like I said above Bumface only time will tell, there is a reason he has hardly played all season.
There are probably several reasons why he hasn't played much this season. He was one our brighter players today and he was excellent in the last couple of games. Nobody played brilliantly today, but at least Jones was trying to make things happen for us. I thought that we missed Giles a lot today. Howson too, obviously.

Wide players will always be inconsistent. You can't beat your man every time and get your delivery right every time but it's about having the confidence to keep getting on the ball and trying things. Thankfully Isaiah has that but if the majority of our fans were the same as some on here no doubt that confidence would quickly drain away!

that may be so, but his consistency is very low. His crossing has always been poor, he's better at the low pull back than crossing where his technique lets him down again and again.

This board is mental sometimes. Someone has a decent game, they're world beaters. They have a poorer game, they're non-league standard. Control yourselves you dirty donkeys.
Why is this board full of people talking about horses and donkeys all of a sudden? Are they doing it deliberately to try and p*ss me off? I've made it really clear on here that my people don't get along with horses or donkeys or ponies. Our faces frighten them, and there was that incident with the custard cream, and the horses still remember that. It was an innocent mistake and I was only five years old. I didn't mean to shove that biscuit up the horse's nose. I tought that was its mouth. I was trying to be nice to it.

It was consistent enough to achieve more assists than any other player in our squad last season.

I'm very sorry for my inadvertent transgression. I will be more careful in the future. I was going to call everyone silly sausages, but I didn't want you to sue me.

I miss BoroFur. He's my favourite silly sausage. I hope that he starts posting again soon.

Why does it matter if he creates a goal?
Because my point was that his crossing technique was poor. If the pull back isn’t available and he goes for the cross it’s usually a wasted opportunity. To be a better player you need to have both in your armoury

All players have their weaknesses. Jones has the pace and trickery to beat his man and the composure to get his head up and to play the ball across to the lads in the box (quite often picking them out with accuracy). That's good enough for me. He would've had 3 or 4 assists against Hull alone if the finishing was better on the night. We're a Championship club at the end of the day, if his delivery was always on point he'd be playing at a higher level. People need to be a bit more realistic with what to expect from the lad in my opinion.

I agree with all that, just think he isn’t as good/reliable as McGree, Forss or Ramsay in those wide roles

I'd put all of them ahead of him as well to be honest. I like Jones and think he's a great player to have as part of the squad but I like the three you've mentioned even more and they've all played their part this season so far. I also think those three are more of a goal threat, particularly Forss who is an excellent finisher in and around the box.

Ah the troll has hoofed this thread again. How hilarious after Jones was our best player last 2 games.
Just a difference of opinion on the lad, I don’t see how that constitutes trolling but ok. I think the fact he hasn’t played hardly under carrick tells it’s own story doesn’t it.
