Have we found a decent team. Will he change it.

We played really well today IMHO. The signs have been there in the last couple of games although neither have been great. So we have a team that has been forced upon Warnock given the injuries we have had.

Wil he change things as and when players come back. He has already spoken about getting Howson back in midfield while I think he is playing better where he is. Add to that Payero and Crooks have been playing really well in last couple of games.

Peltier had a good game today.

Where if anywhere should the changes come.

That for me is the real test as let’s not kid ourselves he’s picked this side out necessity rather than by design. So when he can put McNair and howson back in mf will he ????

Not sure how Howson gets in any more when everyone is fit. And Warnock has said many times he thinks Paddy is best as a Centre back but I think he'll play him sat in front of a back 4.

With everyone fit I think he plays a defence of Dijksteel, Fry, Bamba and Bola. Paddy sitting in front with Crooks and Payero in the middle then pick 2 from Uche/Tav/Watmore/Hernandez/Jones supporting Sporar.

Payero and Sporar are the key to it all linking up, 2 very talented players we're lucky to have.

The problem all season was our midfield. Payers is the one who has made a difference as he links the midfield and attack. Waiting to get shot down but in the same role as crooks has played we have progressed.
albeit poor team we have created chances and should really have scored more in the last 2 games.

For me the worry is these players coming back and then he reverts to how we were playing earlier in this season. Imagine if, and it is an if, this team wins 4, 5 or even 6+ on the bounce playing this new system, why would you want the injured players back in the side when they were hardly playing well at the start of the season.

If they keep winning I'd tend to agree. And although I'm not in the Warnock out camp, we have only beat teams who are poor. Not taking anything away but we might need the injured players against better teams. 4, 5 or 6 wins on the bounce then that's a different conversation.

For me the only player I’d 100% bring straight back in is Bola. The rest I’d leave as is until we lose or have fitness issues or injuries. I’d leave Howson at right back ahead of Dijksteel based on this seasons form so far.
Was going to say Howson challenges Dijksteel as right back, that's maybe the only way he stays in the side.

The big question is whether those saying last week they weren’t looking forward to the game, or weren’t going to bother going despite having a ticket, are happy yet 😂
Djiksteel, Bola and Fry all come straight back in once for by the way.

The days of "don't change a winning team" are consigned to history.

It comes from days when clubs had squads of 15-16 players and playing at 80% fitness was the norm.

These days it marks a dereliction of responsibility by the manager. Changes in all outfield positions will be made to keep players fit.

Still thought we looked a bit dodgy, at the back. Bola comes back, Bamba won’t be able to play every week (rotate him and McNair with Fry and Hall when fit), and Dijksteel would share RB with Howson, in my mind. The system and options going forward looks good, right now, but we do need to defend a little less frantically

There was no doubt we played Cardiff at exactly the right time. They were in complete disarray for most of that game. To draw conclusions as to how we should field our team for the remainder of the season on that 90 minutes would be dangerous. In any case injuries and returning players will define the line ups going forward still.

I'd expect Bola and Dijksteel to come back in. I can't see why you'd drop Paddy and Sol as a CB pairing. Sol gives us the 'voice' we've missed for years.

That said as much as I rate Dijksteel he's not good going forward.

It's going to be a head scratcher if you think we have Fry / Bola / Hall and Dijksteel to come back. It's hard to change a side that's won 3 on the bounce but as importantly 3 clean sheets. It doesn't sound like any will be back for Brum. I wouldnt rush them.

Hopefully sick with the Payero and Crooks bromance in CM😂

For me he cant touch the midfield trio of crooks tav and payero its working really well now.
It's good to have options. Especially when the positions themselves seem fairly fluid.

For me, Tav hasn't really moved on since breaking through and Hernandez should be pushing him for a start. Jones is also coming through and playing well.

Warnock seems to favour his wingers playing as modern attacking full backs rather than as straight wingers. Tav tends to come inside and seems to prefer playing more centrally.

Payero and Crooks works for me but the other spot is still up for grabs.

We seem to be playing more like a unit, and we now have players with a bit of flair and a bit of pace but we still to capitalize on chances and score more goals. Yes we've done okay the last three games, since Hull, but looking at the top 3 in this division their goal difference shows their credentials and commitment to promotion.

Putting howson and paddy back in the centre midfield would be a terrible decision
Payero and crooks are building something and I really like it
Paddy doing great in defence and howson is pulling up trees at RB or RWB

Well it will depend on how they perform in the coming games before the injured players return. For example if Luton were to tear us a new one it would be difficult to keep them there. However if they continue to maintain clean sheets then he would find it hard to change.
