Have we now found the spine of this team?

Lumley

Fry & Bamba/Hall

Paddy & Jonny

Crooks

Sporar/Uche

Interchange wide players around them.
Not so sure, I think Bamba and Fry isn't the quickest, Paddy and Howson aren't the quickest, we could get over run at times. Still 15 more games and the window opens again

Agree. We need to settle on a consistent selection and that's as good as we've got. Like the look of our options up front. Sporar looks like he is connecting with those around him and Ikpeazu is just a bulldozer, he causes havoc. 5 minutes after coming on he'd won a free kick and 2 corners and battled it out with 3 Utd players to get one of Lumley's massive goal kicks. 💪

The wing-back system worked well for us last night.

I'd be tempted to try Hernandez at RWB and move Tav to the centre in future, although I'm not sure who you'd take out of the midfield for Tav. Crooks is clearly a big favourite of Warnocks'.

Ideally we want to return to a back 4 system once Djiksteel and Hernandez are fit again. It's just finding the right one to suit us.

Crooks had a good start but he's been on the periphery of the last few games. He barely got a touch in the second half. Still put in the hard yards in closing down etc.

I thought Tav and Bola were playing as wing-backs? Fry seemed to be pushing forward down the left early on in the game to support Bola, who was playing very high up the pitch.

Was Watmore supposed to be on the left? He seemed to play very central alongside Sporar most of the game.

He assisted our second goal, which isn't periphery.

He's been absolutely fine, but for an inch on the crossbar, he'd be our top scorer.

Could probably do with improving his passing a bit, but I've liked what I've seen so far.

Think we have to wait and see. I was convinced we were going to storm the league and be promoted by March after the Forest game. Been sickend since so don't want to get too excited.

yes last nights formation kept morphing but on the whole it looked to me like 2 upfront crooks ahead of a 3 man midfield. tav pushed wide right a lot, paddy sat in defensive line a lot crooks pushed high up in middle and sporar and watmore split wider apart as crooks pushed up. so a pretty narrow front 3 when in advanced position with the 3 behind staying deeper covering the fullbacks. but tav got further forward and bola went high left and was covered my midfield. which is when it looked like a back 3. still hoof balling it by default. really annoying because if we knocked it about we would do miles batter i reckon. surrendering possession so much leaves us to easy to create against.

anyone agree that it was embarrassing how well Sol could actually pass the ball -- made the so called young and established guys look like they need to spend a a few weeks on just basic passing ability. I mean he must have had close to 100 pass percentage-- his passes to the wings were top class.
