Hayden Hackney is going to be a huge star ***

The biggest compliment I think I can pay right now is he doesn't look like a player who has only played, what is it, 8 to 10 games in his career. He looks like he's been in that team for years. Love it when young players like him make the break through. I'm sure he's buzzing and enjoying every single second of it

Idiotic not to use the kids given we spend all that money on it, given that we've just sold Tav to a premier League team, and given that we've unearthed Spence and Jones from nowhere.

I posted something recently about the analysis a bloke had done of the academy's, based on where players from the academy we're playing, weighting premier League higher than championship etc. Ours was highest outside the premier League.

I think he is getting better every game. First couple of performances were steady, but showed he was capable at this level. The last few games he has ran the show and looks the complete midfielder. I hope he keeps working hard and keeps his feet on the ground, because if he does he has a really bright future.

Could well have been but Leo will have seen enough of the lad over time to realise he can do a job for us
It could of course, but it was a big call for a boss standing in for a handful of games and Ryan Lowe claimed that Carrick had been picking the team for the games before he took over - news travels in football circles and he seemed very sure.

Whoever it was makes a fool of Wilder.

I think the first game was Leo's picks because he kept to the 3-5-2 and we certainly hadn't named Carrick as manager at that point. He put Hayden straight in.
