Heard this on the radio today, not heard it for years

Quirky, irrreverent, prolific and most definitely a one of a kind band.
Can't get my head around the fact that Ron is 76 and Russell is 72.
Remember 'This Town' being out when I was a kid, but It was 'Beat The Clock' and 'Number 1 Song' that I remember obsessing over when I was 12-13. Giorgio Moroder gave them a new life.
It's also a bit of a testimony when someone like Paul McCartney gives them a nod by taking Ron off in the video for 'Coming Up'.
Ron's great and very affable in interviews, nothing at all like when he gives the camera 'that look' when performing on TV.

When I was young I use to sneak in my brothers bedroom when he was out & play the record on his record player, one day when putting it away in his massive music collection I snapped the record & was horrified, immediately putting it back & hoping he wouldn't notice, I later bought the record but he'd found out before I replaced it, not best pleased with me though

His record collection was massive, he collected records, all tastes, like I did Boro stuff, we were very close & he never reminded me of the broken sparks record either, something I have felt guilty of since his passing 6 years ago

Loved it back then in the good old 70's & still do (y)
I've said on the board a few times they are one of my favourite bands, especially live. Last week I went to see the David Byrne/Spike Lee film "American Utopia", followed by Edgar Wright's Sparks documentary. One of my best cinema trips in a very long time.

Erimus, here is a blast from the past - Clifford T Ward - Gaye. Wonderful track for chilling to. Poor guy died in his 50’s - complications from having MS.
Wonderful singer/writer - Up in the World is another of his. Covered by Cliff Richard.
