Help Catch the Tyre Fly Tippers

To be fair, if those lads on the van got a bit creative they could make a mint on etsy.
exactly! they're throwing money away! there was a place which I believe might have recently closed down where folks would donate items to be used for art projects and upcycling.. all sorts of items TV's, posters, furniture. rather than that being closed down.. perhaps it should have been built on.

our resources are chronically underused on teesside. from listed buildings to a hugely skilled labour force that can often struggle to find work.

best look out for them at the next boro game..

If tyres can be recycled, its a wonder there isnt a recycle centre, where all those tyres can go - legit?
We have Roofie, it’s at Haverton Hill…but it seems more convenient for them to fly tip them. The quicker they get rid of a load the quicker they can get paid for another load that they can dump in a alley or park 😡

National and local government should be supporting those in need, not criminalising homelessness and fines for people who simply cannot pay is not a solution to complex social issues. Its cruel & counterproductive, sweeping them under the carpet by funnelling people into the criminal justice system.

How about we just concentrate on bring jobs into the area? Stop criminalising poverty and protect the youth of Teesside from the demoralising stigmas that are often heaped upon them. All his talk of ‘professional bin raiders’ is absolute tosh.

That's my two penneth worth anyway, I'm always surprised to find in this supposed leftie wokefest how quick people on here are to support the likes of Pish Poor Preston and Big Bang Ben Houchen's levelling.

I'd be interested to find out what Andy Preston's views are on the brazen criminality that blights our community like.. poisoning our rivers and sea life with pyridine or the large scale vandalism and destruction of our buildings and heritage assets.

'The Continued Harrying of Teesside'

After the costs of investigating, the costs to advertise and promote and the subsequent legal proceedings I do wonder if it is cost effective to prosecute these would be entrepreneurs to further deprive then financially and remove their ability to earn money going forward.

As much as all this negativity drives social media likes, clicks and shares for our fame hungry attention seeking mayor.. it doesn't show our area in a particularly good light and his use of language towards our fellow Teessiders is damaging further still. I'd be interested to find out the negative financial impact these comments and activities make to the 'Brand of Middlesbrough' in terms of external investment and opportunities.
To be fair, I don't think Preston will have got much say in the Dorman's Tower coming down, it is in Redcar and Cleveland.

I dont know how the process works - but I have two cycle fleece - jackets which are sourced 95% from recycled tyres.
They feel like a "normal fleece" and [unlike most fleece jackets] are warm in the wet and almost completely waterproof.
There is definitely a way of economically recycling things like tyres - so what is stopping it from becoming a big plus factor in our economy?
Roofie wears his fleece!!

Any legit garage that fits tyres gets the casings removed either by their tyre supplier ,or an external company.

MOT expired the day before they did this, could certainly go after it’s registered keeper.
Halfway down Rob's post, it tells you the vehicle is untaxed and not registered to anyone.

How do you go after an invisible owner?

This pickup will be stored out of sight and only brought out when these low lives want to tip another load. I wouldn't even be surprised if it is seen again with different number plates and a bit of a paint job.

Edit: Or do you mean the last known person to get the MOT done?

So you go after the last owner he has responsibility unless it's been stolen.

Do you really think the last registered owner hasn't already been interviewed and was able to provide evidence of selling the vehicle legally?

If he's submitted his part of the V5 document with the new owner's name and address (both bogus), then he will have nothing to answer to.

Edit: I was watching a programme on Youtube and the police had raided a traveller's farm which had a number of stolen vehicles all chopped up and ready to sell for spare parts. This could be something like that.

I mean I’m all for crime prevention and all that.. but of all the times in the year to pick up on something, pick up any anything.. why this and why now?
