Definitely go with Diallo too.

He's probably their most dangerous player attacking wise.
 
Genuinely, on current form at least, I can't see an argument for any other than Stewart and I'm not even sure I'd have him ahead of Crooks, whose all round game is better.

Just had a look at the Sunderland thread on the same subject and I'm surprised how little so many of their posters know of our players - am I alone in taking an interest in others teams, not just Sunderland?

And anyone who suggests Danny Baath ahead of any of our centre halves has clearly had a lobotomy.
 
I'd have Stewart over Crooks, and I'm 50 50 with Forss / Diallo and McGree / Clarke.

Other than those 3, none of their team gets anywhere near our starting 11.

Daniel Neil might make the bench, due to us having a few injuries.
 
Diallo. That's it. Clarke and Roberts look easy on the eye but end product is terrible. Stewart would be a player if he had half a brain and didn't run into meaningless positions all game.

Considering the same squad [bar Cameron Archer] having taken us from 21st at the end of October 2022, to the top six by 22nd January 2023, I consider they have the quality and ability to sustain and further our considerable progress up the table. We have an astounding Manager from Wallsend, who is doing a brilliant job and I trust in him implicitly.

I empathise with you - because, understandably, your fans have had to endure 4 Managers and 3 "Caretaker" Managers in just over three years. At least now, you have a Teesside Legend in charge, who will keep you in the Championship.

On yesterday's showing, only Akpom and Smith would get in a joint team. I'd even put their keeper in there.
We were rubbish.
Though over the course of the full season I think we'll out perform them.

Their keeper looked a liability to me, and that was when barely under any pressure.

I think that Diallo would absolutely get in, Stewart would get in ahead of Crooks up front (as he should).

Howson had a really poor game, but that's been a rarity under Carrick, it's not reflective of his performances over the full season.

Our midfield really struggled against theirs though, so the thread is obviously going to look daft.
