How to pay for your season ticket… bank bribes

you could easily bank £375 before the deadline of 31/3/23.

Some banks require x2 direct debits.

I had an old student account when I started out that I joined to get a rail card, had £1 in it. I set up two charity direct debits for £1 each and I move around. Loads.

Made £600 last year from doing this.

It is legit, goes through quicker if you don’t apply for an overdraft. Piece of cake to do.

It is simple.

I've pretty much kept my main Current Account as is for a few years, until I recently switched that.

For the purpose of bank bribes though, I opened another separate Current Account and moved my two water Direct Debits over just to meet the two DD criteria.

I just switch this secondary account around now, waiting on £200 from Santander as I type.

The only issue I have is that a lot of the banks have conditions like you can't have received an incentive from us since such and such date, which limits my options these days.

Thanks lads. I know what I'm going to be doing tomorrow!

Have I got this correct, all I need to do is switch an existing current account to a new one with NatWest, drop in some cash, set up a couple of DDs and wait for £200…?

Yes, but with the Nat West one you don’t even need to set up the direct debits. You could deposit £1255.00 transfer out £1250 keep £5 in wait for the money to land then repeat with capital 1(£175 plus £30’amazon voucher. You will have £405 in under a month and you need to put £75 in for your season ticket.

Keep £5 as a £3 fee is required for Nat West, but you close the account after the money lands within a week and move onto the next one.

Once your have switched to the above two tsb offer £125.

Key is don’t apply for an overdraft, 99.9percent acceptance.

It is all over the Martin Lewis website in the link.

Piece of cake to do.

You don't even need to set up a couple of DD's if the account you are switching already has at least two active DD's.

Just read the blurb for each account as the T&C's differ i.e minimum payments each month, active DD's, log into mobile banking at least once etc

I probably need both of my current accounts I hold, so thinking of setting one up just to do this with,

Is there a good account to set up with? I’ll set up two dd for charity’s and then go from there. If I just pick a bank I’ll pick one that I’ll want to switch to later knowing my luck 🤦🏻‍♂️
