Hungry kids robbed

It's the type of society we are. We repeatedly elect governments exacerbating the situation, any attempts to reverse the status quo receives the 'cant afford it' lie and a section of the electorate swallow it all too easily. Then they moan about what they've voted for.
We're a low wage economy with even those working in poverty.
Poverty

The working and family credits from the late 90s were an attempt to provide a fix with tax payers picking up the bill.

Everyone has a point on this post no kid should go hungry no company should be making big profits out of this. Also the parents of some of these families need to take a look at themselves and their planning. I have watched the news none of the kids looked starved one family had 6 kids. Yes I do believe if you can not afford kids and not many can afford more than two kids you need to take some responsibility for yourself. I hate that mates mates are getting contracts this should be stopped and all contracts should be put out to tender for by local councils to stop this happening. We need to bring in laws to stop tax avoidance but we also need to people to look after themselves as well. Before I get slagged off I hate tax dodgers I also hate people who have never worked in their life’s but carry on having kid after kid

What happens when you have kids then become ill or unemployed? It will be cheaper to pay the parents enough money to look after them than take the kids into care.

I am a contractor been unemployed wife would have loved more kids but chose not to as I could not afford to give them the life as I would like them to have. I have been lucky tho as not been paid off for quite some while so could have had more but looked at the cost of having children and planned my life for the bad times and the good

They think working class people are just plain thick. Weirdly, some of them vote for them.
This is what they voted for. Its infuriating but not surprising to a lot of us

Are working class people ever going to learn that the Tories could not give a flying f.u.c.k about any of them?

Like me you're lucky that you've had the chance to do that. Not everybody can go contracting and earn the money to make the decisions that your exemplary self has made.

I guess they’re keeping the immigrants out.

To be fair the Tories are doing a brilliant job of renationalising the railways. Albeit accidentally.

Interesting analysis - I’m not subtlety questioning anything - I’m just not taking for face value what some lady has posted on the internet. If you read up on any major news site you will see that she was indeed incorrect - she had suggested the food was for ten days , it was actually five. )in mine and most eyes that is still not adequate at all and you can see my views on that above!! but luckily people questioned it enabling the problem to be clarified and hopefully addressed asap.

re Cummings and Johnson’s pay go and reread the posts as it seems you cannot read. It is obvious I was not defending their pay.

you seem intent on painting me as something I’m not and you do it in a regular and heavy handed way Fabio which leads me to believe you are some sort of bully, are you a bully Fabio?

I take bullying accusations extremely seriously.

Perhaps you should temper your approach then.

As the saying goes, you can fool some of the people all of the time, and you can fool all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

Anyway, enough distracting from the topic at hand. Profiteering out of child poverty in the U.K.

Yes that’s correct it would appear that Chartwells the company provisioning the food paid for by the gvt were attempting to do just that. Keir Starmer has just read out in the House of Commons what the gvt guidance is on the meals, it was essentially similar to what was shown in the infamous photo plus milk, tuna and sweet corn. So my idea that the refrigerated goods were missing wasn’t so far off the mark. How you got from that to Dominic Cummings is definitely distracting from the topic at hand and all part of your agenda.

Strange, I can't recall me and the Mrs carrying out a detailed cost and benefit analysis before we had kids
All I can say is we did look at it as the more you have the higher the cost and I do not expect anyone else to support my kids that is my job as their Dad and my responsibility for having them not yours or anyone else.

All well and good if you are in a well paid job. If you're a teacher or a junior doctor or a nurse, the starting pay is very poor, the debt you carry into your first job is enormous.

Salaries, in real terms have dropped and this hits the poor much harder than the middle classes. There are married couples, both working who have to use food banks. Your attitude is that they shouldn't have kids?

Distraction, he says.....
Agenda, he says....

If that is the way you want to interpret it so be it. As for well paid jobs do you believe you should not live with in your means. Also not saying no one should not have kids but I do believe you should look if you can afford to keep having them I am sorry if that upsets you but that is my belief that a dad should support his own family and should think about pulling out if not have the money to look after more

What if you once had a very good job and so did your Mrs so you had four kids then you and your Mrs both lost your well paid jobs and having paid lots of tax and national insurance over the years you quite rightly thought god where can I get some help?

Except you questioned that the lady may have got it wrong and for some reason she omitted the refrigerated items from the photo.
