From a tactical point of view, a successful impeachment prevents Trump from holding any office in the future and would likely be enough to completely stain his family from running too.

I honestly don't think Trump cares about power he just wants to steal as much money from his base as possible.

He just is too ignorant and narcissistic to realise that he would actually create a mob that would take over the building and that he's actually going to get into serious trouble.

The only reason it happened in the first place is because it was allowed to. You'll have seen the pictures of the full military gear 'police' during the BLM protests Vs yesterday.

Me and the Mrs are currently binge watching Designated Survivor on Netflix.. (for those who haven't seen it the entire senate and presidential team are wiped out and Kiefer Sutherland becomes a stand in POTUS).. we've been watching a few episodes each night but then last night we were glued to CNN.. If those poll figures are even remotely representative then the schism in American politics is most likely beyond retrieval.
You have to worry that there will be some sort of civil war or, if the voting demographics in the Georgia runoff are repeated nationally, a race war.
