I wonder if the royal death

If we are going to shut the BBC down for everyone whose life is marred in turmoil and tragedy we are going to have a fun time ahead.
I guess those on food banks, on the streets, living a life of depression, those victimised because of the colour of their skin or sexuality don’t live a worthy enough life to care so much about.
Mind you, I’m really pleased we respect a certain type of refugee
Do you honestly not understand the significance or are you just disagreeing with the significance???

Nothing against Philip however - media & broadcasters have gone way overboard on the coverage esp the BBC.
They created a Coverage Complaints Page though have either taken it down or it's crashed.

This isn't 1950 anymore & I think the metro' 'elite' & establishment clique have misread the nations mood.

“The Queen accepted Johnson’s recommendation of 8 days mourning”
Is there any other events of significance happening....

Good job I just signed up earlier then. Bet they don't announce how many signed it.

Seriously over the top now, we would be mocking North Korea for the sort of reaction we have seen over the last few days. Why does anything need to be moved for anyones funeral?

"Prince Harry will be travelling from his home in the United States to attend, although his pregnant wife Meghan has been advised not to travel. It is understood she made every effort to join her husband but was not given clearance to travel by her doctor."

I'll bet she did.

Sometimes the old adage “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything” applies. Somebody has died, be respectful; whether you are monarchist or republican. Not a lot to ask really is it?
it's not a lot to ask to be allowed to choose if we join in with this show of virtue signalling, or if we are allowed to get on with our lives as normal. By taking over our national broadcaster and moving sporting events because they clash with his funeral that choice is taken away.

If you want to grieve over some guy that lived a a life of luxury at our expense fill your boots, but let the normal folks carry on as normal with our football at 3pm

Believe me the Royal Family would agree, they would like to grieve in private but that goes with the weight and responsibility of office.

Humble beginnings? You are just trolling now or truly stupid.

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark;[1] 10 June 1921[fn 1] – 9 April 2021), was a member of the British royal family as the husband of Elizabeth II.

Philip was born into the Greek and Danish royal families. He was born in Greece, but his family was exiled from the country when he was eighteen months old. After being educated in France, Germany and the United Kingdom, he joined the British Royal Navy in 1939, aged 18. From July 1939, he began corresponding with the thirteen-year-old Princess Elizabeth, whom he had first met in 1934. During the Second World War he served with distinction in the Mediterranean and Pacific Fleets.
some people have just been rendered docile through years of systematic rhetoric. Wouldn't be surprised if Holgate_roof was ex-forces, it's rife cop doffers in that world. Why anyone would sign up to lay their life down for that family, I don't know.
