If signings could’ve been done in time for Saturday…

Definetly not no but I was thinking more the media people for videos and announcements etc
They’ve been posting on social media all day. Don’t think they have a day off!

As per my earlier post, I don’t think anything is imminent as there’d be rumours and journalists posting stuff on social media. I can only think there are other clubs after some of these players so we are having to be very tight lipped.

The mfc YouTube stream is probably buffering, so they haven’t seen individuals best bits yet

Do you ever get that feeling though? “We thought we had him, someone else came in, we couldn’t get it over the line…”

I’m sure all clubs face similar issues. It’s just a little frustrating. I just have a nagging feeling that having to bring Akpom back in is a sign that we’re not going to get the main targets and are scratching around for others.

Check the Larsen thread

Just thought I would try cheers ya up. Lad on oneboro reckons Larsen medical completed and he’s trained today with first team with potential announcement tomorrow
Let’s see if it comes off, and let’s hope he’s a Van Nistelrooy rather than a Van Wolfswinkel. Be interesting to see how he goes.

I don't know if there's been a change in the player registration process/contract legality approval but it does seem that transfers are taking longer to process than usual.

It was always "player X is in for his medical" and bang, they were announced holding a shirt up within hours.

Signings are taking longer to announce even after it being well documented that a medical has taken place. The Spence deal wasn't 'officially' announced until a week after photos were circulating of him in a Spurs shirt.
Yeah but there was no rush to announce the spence deal. Spurs only bought him as an investment.

We are the eternal club of ‘nearly there’ signings. If we had signed all the blokes who were supposedly ‘nearly there’ - not rumoured but promoted as ‘ nearly there’ we would be all sitting back with our pipe and slippers watching an EPL side now. Never take any signing as a certainty with the Boro till the website posts the obligatory picture of them in their new Boro shirt. We are definitely one of the best clubs in England for getting close then failing on signings. Perhaps this is the year it will change and Armstrong will come here rather than Watford? That would be the marquee signing of intent for some time.
