Which players out of the current crop would be here?

the squad is littered with players coming to contract end and players on loan it feels like we would have no one left.

Who would stay and benefit from a season in league 1?

Pears to stay
Stojanovic to stay
Mejias to stay
Spence to stay
Dijksteel to stay
Fry would be off id imagine
Coulson , would like him to stay but there would be bids I would suggest
Wing would stay, probs his level
Saville would stay doubt he would get current wage anywhere else unless we wanted him off wage bill , we might
loan him out to a championship side
McNair I would fancy to leave
Tav to stay
Fletcher probably stay can’t imagine there would be to much interest
Walker would stay
Britt would be off

Ayala, Howson, Johnson, Shotton, Clayton, Gestede, Friend out of contract. Can’t see any of them wanting to play in league 1. Maybe Johnson would fancy it so he could get regular games. Howson has been tipped to stay but the fact he hasn’t signed yet suggest he is waiting to see what division we will be in.

Browne, Bola to be key players you would fancy considering that is basically there level.

Nmecha, Roberts, Moukoudi, Morrison back to there clubs.

suppose the situation is similar even if we stay up but we’re more likely to keep a couple of the out of contract lads if we don’t go down. Very worrying situation either way really Considering our recruitment.

In summary, we are an absolute shambles.

This is what happens when there is no one looking after the long term well being of a club.

It’s such a shame, to go from the Brighton euphoria a few seasons ago to this is quite stunning really. It’s kicked the stuffing out of the fan base.
Every single decision the club has made since Brighton has been wrong.

Ripping apart the promotion squad and bringing in mercenaries on loan.
Not supporting the manager in the transfer market.
Sacking the manager at the wrong time.
Appointing Agnew.
Appointing Monk and giving him the keys to the shop with no thought to how his spending would balance the squad.
Having sacked Monk who had been appointed to bring attacking football to the club - replacing him with Pulis a footballing dinosaur.
Appointing an idiot as the new manager who has no experience, no apparent skills and tasking him with the job of restructuring the club, cutting costs and remaining competitive.
Allowing the idiot to take the club to the brink of relegation and still not acting.
All of this whilst the recruitment team remain, despite rubbish signing after rubbish signing.

Gill MUST have something on Gibson! Photos or something. I’ve heard he’s great at importing wine and clothes. I can’t see what he brings to the club. We need to head hunt successful recruitment staff, Southampton used to be great, Brentford have done it for years. Offer them a package they can’t refuse.

Their clubs will be playing those staff accordingly though, if they value them that much. I don't think its just a case of 'poaching' them as if we're some big fish in a small pond.
 
The recruitment isn't all bad. Managers are largely to blame. We've signed some good strikers in recent times but not played them up front. We had Stuani who has scored a hatful for Girona, Braithwaite has scored goals and is now playing alongside Messi. Bamford couldn't get a game but was bought by a team challenging at the top. All of our strikers have scored goals at other clubs. We are just a graveyard for strikers. Successive managers have failed to score enough goals. It's the way we play as much as the strikers themselves.
 
Stuani scored plenty for us in his, at the time, preferred position.
Yes he's move centrally now, but players do change position as their career progresses, just look at winger Ronaldo to centre forward Ronaldo.

yeah he should be ok. Mental to think we probably won’t have a first team centre back at the club apart from Nathan Wood and Sam Stubbs if you class them as First team. As I’m certain Dael Fry will be sold and the rest out of contract or returning to parent club.
