If you booed Connolly

Been going for 30 years I don’t think I’ve ever booed. Always think you Should Just shrug your shoulders and moan about it later.

But I wish Connolly wasn’t anywhere near the team and we pack him off back to Brighton. Sorry. Don’t shoot me down. I watched on the telly it weren’t me.

A Confidence player who has been really struggling to get his career back in an even keel. He’s come to boro wanting to the best he can, everyone he goes onto that pitch he puts a shift it! I’ve said before you don’t score premier league goals by accident. He’s 22 years old and already said that the stuff that Brighton fans were saying about him had really effected him. Trolls slagging him off on instagram are a disgrace. I made sure I cheered him on today, he’s had a few little pieces of magic that if they had come if would have been jaw dropping!

Absolutely gutted for the lad today, the game finished and he was in a tigger state.. tore his shirt of and bolted down the tunnel. Visibly upset. Now a team just after winning 2-0 at home, keeping the playoff dream alive should be going on that dressing room and saying we can do this lads!!

Instead you have to console a teammate about being booed onto the pitch.. a 22 year old lad. Gutted.

Not sure how any of our players felt about a large section of fans booing taking the knee either. Talk about motivation!

On what should be an exciting build up to an end of season finale full of twists and turns and drama..

I’m left deflated and a bit ashamed of our fans. Disappointing eh

Must admit I didn’t hear the booing where I sit but obviously it happened.

Without defending those who booed I don’t think it’s a surprise that one or two of that attitude have become frustrated with the way the season has panned out.

There are still a few booing the kneeling, just as bad as booing an individual player in my opinion, even worse for a televised match.

I think Connelly is the last player you could say has an attitude, he gives his all whenever hes on the pitch, if hes not good enough, which I actually think he is, then thats another matter
We’ve seen far worse over the last few years, really does shock me hearing about this apparent attitude problem from a few people on here which is clearly non existent. But like I said a few weeks ago a few have decided they didn’t like him before he played a game and nothing will change their minds

It must be so difficult to play in front of this crowd at times, you could understand it if we were about to be relegated with a bunch of players who didn’t want to be here but this couldn’t be further from the case

Those who can’t get behind the team really need to stay away

I've been following the Boro for nigh on 60 years. I have to say that there have only been a few times when there wasn't at least one player/target for the boo-boys. It is completely incomprehensible, counter-productive and cringe-worthy. What it must do to said player's confidence heaven only knows.

Exactly this, when I started it was Frank Spraggon.

brainless, and I just

exactly this, it's not just the pointless booing, it's the effect it has on the other players, one of their mates. we're supposed to all be in this together. it's pathetic.

the one thing I will say though, is from the East, it sounded like there was some booing but there was a lot of clapping as he came on afterwards as well.

Colin Cooper.
Stuart Parnaby.
Brad Jones.

I will be criticise a player in a civil manner on here.
I will not boo someone because I think they are not the best player as they come on as sub or pre-match.
That affects the other players these idiots choose not to boo too
And the vast majority will be the same - because we want ALL our players to play to the best of their ability - however limited.
That is what supporting your team is.
Booing Boro players can only help the opposition.

I was in the North Stand and you could clearly hear the booing.
I said to my son "Boro fans rightly get a lot of plaudits but they always have to have someone to lay into".
It was absolutely disgraceful, embarrassing and any so called Boro fan who was part of that should take a long hard look in the mirror.
"One Ali Brownlee" was chanted tonight...
I wonder what Ali would have said about the booing?

He’s 22! We could have a real gem on our hands with this lad!

I said the same about Lucas Nmecha.. oh how they laughed!!
