IFAB to discuss extending half time to 25 minutes for Superbowl style shows.

I'll not be happy if this goes ahead.

People struggle enough getting back from matches at night without adding an additional 10 minutes of sitting about waiting for the second half to start.
You'd probably have to alter train times around the country, definitely on Teesside.

All to benefit big finals where actual fans would still just prefer for the second half to start.

Thankfully from the article it sounds like they don't actually plan on introducing it, they're just discussing it to pander to the South Americans, but you never know with football nowadays, it's ran by clowns.

Yes it used to be 10 mins.
The half time interval was never 10 minutes. It was changed from 5 to 15 in 1995.

No wonder I was always late for second half after Q'ing for warm Bovril ( lightly sprinkled with white pepper) and light bulb warmed pasty.
Fun fact : I used to **** in the same place every match as a kid - in front was a small window with a sliver missing from the lower left corner - I guess 20 ish ? years later when they decide to "clad" the outside - that F***ing window was still d*ck freezing a whole new generation - talk about a plaster solution.
This would be The Old Girl AKA Fratton Park

Hopefully won't affect us in the Championship?.......having said that would mean you could rush a couple of pints at half time :ROFLMAO:

Yeah that's not right. I watched games with a 10 min halftime for 35 yrs prior to the premier league starting.

Definitely 10 minutes......hence managers saying......'at the end of the day come 10 to 5, which allowed a bit of stoppage time (which we guessed at).....then all sorted for Sports Report and the classified check at 5:00pm!
