Is anyone with Octopus energy

As I've mentioned on previous posts, instead of looking constantly for the cheapest deals I've been with Ecotricity for the past few years.
They are not the cheapest but the fact they offer only one deal, all profits are fed back into green projects, there is no contracts and you speak to people working in Britain are all more important to me than putting money into shareholders pockets to save yourself a few quid.

wouldn't it be great if we had one national company that did that.... looking after this countrys interests...

I know, its a ridiculous idea

I’m with Look After My Bills and they switched me to Green.energy on the 7th August. This afternoon they went out of business...

I was with Green Network Energy and they were great until they folded and accounts transferred to EDF. Was kept on the same cheapish tariff I had with GNE up to this month and EDF then offered me a more expensive, but two year deal. I took it as these price rises were on the horizon.

Just changed to octopus from EDF who wanted to increase my direct debit from £82 per month to £680-on checking I found they had zeroed my electricity meter and said I’d used 9000 units in 5 months-got it sorted but still moving to octopus

First two fold. More to follow.

I'm with Avro so will wait for my new terms and conditions!

With electric cars to be the only cars available by 2030, where is the electricity going to come from? Gas will be the marginal fuel for generating electricity at astronomic prices. It's been a windless summer apparently. We're sure to get continuing windless periods where the availability of electricity will be a real problem.

Perhaps there'll be sufficient generating capability by 2030.

At least most people will be charging their cars overnight when demand for electricity is low.

Been with Octopus about 3 months and found them fantastic to deal with. Previously with So Energy who hiked our price after 12 months by £34 a month for a similar tariff. Rang them to ask why and managed to get it down to £6 more. Completely irrational raise but at the time was also in the market and saved another £20 a month with Octopus. Only pay £64 a month on a 4-bed semi detached, with 2 of us.

You cant mean a National Power Gen company?
Nationalised?

Which ensures that the whole country has access to power at all times?
An organisation which buys in power for the whole country and carries clout - so can keep prices down?
One which doesnt put its "surplus" into private pockets whilst leaving the vulnerable, elderly and the poor without adequate heat, light and power?
