Is it too late to bring someone to help Woodgate

It'd be tantamount to giving him and the rest of the coaches their P45's. It might keep us up, but we'd still be needing a new manager in the summer.
If we are even thinking of doing it then it'd be far better to cut out the middleman and get a manager in for next season now and let them assess what they have and what we need and then pray the club gets them the players they want.

IMHO, Woodys mistake was bringing in the back room staff who have no experience at all, Leo apart as a GK coach
Maybe that was Gibbos making, get in people as cheap as possible to assist you

How many of us were shouting to recruit lower league players when we might unearth a diamond, we've wasted millions on players over the years, the players Woody has brought in will either be sold what we paid, or a bigger value, not much of a gamble IMHO

Now we're struggling big time he's got no one to turn to for help

How many other clubs bring someone in to ‘help’ the manager? Just F***ing get rid of him and bring someone else in. Just watched his presser, he’s deluded, arrogant , Highly unintelligent and looks like a broken man. If he had any ‘minerals’ as he would say he should do us all a favour and remove himself from his role. If he loves the club as much as he has said in interviews he should know he’s not what we need and he isn’t good enough. Step down please Woodgate.

Last night when he said he was 'going to look himself in the mirror' I was contemplating, hoping that he might walk away today. Hoping that he might see what's happening. I'm the deluded one. He's looking forward to picking up points and climbing the table. I don't know what to say any more...

I think the issue will be FFP. We would have to pay off Woodgate and pay the new manager at the same time.

The legal review of the Kike sale is potentially going to cost us a couple of million quid: https://fmttmboro.com/index.php?threads/more-good-news.885/

So we probably do not have the money to either bring in a mentor or possibly a replacement. Depending on how we budgeted for the outcome of the Kike case.

He probably just meant he was going to have another night on the Charlie.

How many other clubs have managed to change personnel and keep within FFP? It is a convenient excuse for Gibson and MFC to use at the minute.

We sold Randolph for 4 million too and have been cost cutting for some time now. I don’t buy financial fair play as the reason.

Add to that the £2m we received for Braithwaite and that's around £6m. Take off the £1m for the keeper (we are bizarrely yet to even see make the bench) makes around a £5m gain on the balance sheet in the last couple of months.

As I said, FFP is a convenience Gibson and co are happy to use to justify their own mis-management.

Just like Robbo, the moment you do that it undermines your position. How can he demand the respect of players and fans if he needs someone to bail him out? Just sack him. It will cost more to be relegated than to pay him off I'm sure. Steve Gibson won't sack him though. He appointed Woodgate when nobody wanted him, and sacking him will prove what a stupid decision it was. So he'll hang on in the hope Woodgate comes good.

We did this when Karanka went an Gibson put Agnew in charge.
If we want change it has to be someone who steamrollers our Anthill Mob into a unit which achieves positive results.

I fear the worst, but hope I am wrong.

I think under Woodgate the worst will happen.
We are in free fall, others are fighting and looking like picking up points, we are the complete opposite like a rudderless ship.
Playing Friend is an example of his poor management, he's lost it, time has caught up with him, we seem to live in the past and just keep rewarding the good old boys of old.
I've totally lost it with the club there is no direction from the top down, it's so painful and distressing to watch.
Prepare yourself for League 1 that's where we are heading.
