Is this our best chance to go up?

Coventry over 90 mins at the sold out Riverside followed by Luton/ Sunderland at Wembley........

The championship is such a difficult league and it's only going to get harder...... Plus the trips to Southampton and Plymouth mid-week no doubt are hardly appealing to me.....

Without a doubt it’s our best chance. There will be at least 10 teams in the championship next season who think they will be in with a chance of finishing in the play offs minimum.

I think its a best chance through the play-offs, including the year we lost at Wembley, given how strong the team has been under Carrick.

The best chance overall was the year AK took us up automatically, if that's not an obvious thing to say, although I may have misunderstood the OP's question?

Today showed another side to carrick as well this wasn’t our usual swashbuckling style…instead it was a methodical tactical approach to out play the opposition.

It was a sign that he has mapped out how he wants us to play it wasn’t the usual off the cuff post season fayre we’ve had in the past.

Completely agree with that. I was reading Carrick said something like "we've been waiting for this". Once our opponents were decided the coaches and players will have been working on a game plan. Today was always about matching them physically and defending well. They were always going to have periods in the ascendancy with their crowd vocal and the teams energy high. Boro needed the character and discipline to get through that, which we've done.

Onto the Riverside where our crowd can create the wall of noise and Boro can hit Coventry the same way we did Norwich and Hull recently.

I fear coventrys style will come more into play on Wednesday with us going for it at the riverside and them hitting us on the counter. Thought they were cautious today about pumping too many men forward. But Wednesday they have to go for it. Hopefully we will be up by 3 by the time they score.
