Is Tyson Fury the biggest fraud in boxing?

It looks as though Usyk is going to be tied up with mandatories for a while unless they pay one of them to step aside.
It's not just paying them to step aside, it's getting the board to sanction it aswell, the WBA have already given two extensions, I doubt usyk will get another he'll have to fight Dubois or vacate

I guess it depends on what sort of risk he perceives Joyce to pose. Probably equal risk as Joshua IMO and for less money. Joyce's style is perfect for Fury. He just keeps coming forward and would allow Fury to fight on the back foot all night and pick him off with jabs. He would have to be peak fitness though to stay with Joyce's pace for 12 rounds.
Fury v Joyce will be an interesting fight as Joyce has fairly quick feet and Fury looks to be slowing down in terms of how he uses his legs. Joyce is the more physically strong as well.

Joshua v Joyce is a good one but the only downside of that is that it lets Fury off the hook. You wouldn't put it past Fury trying to fight Andy Ruiz. Usyk should try and get it on with Wilder if he can. It's a big fight and will add to his heavyweight legacy.

I don't think Fury Usyk will ever happen now. I can't see Fury having many fights left. Saying that though I thought the Fury AJ fight would be dead but weirdly that could now be back on the cards.

It's a funny old game. I agree with @Alzi though, I don't get too excited about the 'on off circus' - it is what it is. I would have loved to see the fight but won't lose sleep that it is off. And I don't totally blame Fury. He's been a pillock but it takes two to tango. Ultimately he's paid the price - to his reputation and his bank account.

Let's see what happens on Saturday... If AJ wins the question about Fury will be asked...

It doesn't though. It takes two to make a fight, it only takes one to spoil it. Usyk was ready to go. Fury wasn't. It's that simple.

I agree that Fury/Usyk is very unlikely now. Usyk's sole ambition is undisputed and the window of opportunity has closed. Usyk will be tied up with mandatories for the next 12-18 months and I think Fury will end up vacating in that time. There was an article on skysports earlier in the week with the WBC President where he says he's disapointed that the fight couldn't be made for the undisputed as it is unlikely that window will come around again for a long time.#

Bit weird people getting giddy about guessing the circus of whether a fight is on or off. I find it all tedious and just wish it was all done behind closed doors without the WWE style dramatics.
People have took more interest in this fight than others, a) because it was the opportunity to make the biggest heavyweight fight in the last 20 years, b) the Tyson Fury factor. He put's it on Social Media, he enters the ring with the big WWE call outs, he fails to deliver. And it's about time he was put under scrutiny.

I think in general it would be good if it was behind closed doors, and lets face it most are. What did we hear about Joshua/Usyk negotiations. Very little. The fight was made behind closed doors by two professionals.

In this case I think it's good Fury is being exposed for what he is. The Usyk team coming out and exposing the Fury demands is fair in my opinion. Especially if Fury is going to post himself all over social media calling him a p*ssy and other foul mouth rants etc. They are well within their rights to actually expose the facts.

If fury doesn't want proper fights anymore couldn't he just do exhibitions against Youtubers and make more money than these pointless semi serious boxing matches?

I think they said something similar when Joshua was pitted against Ruiz. Ok it’s not a grea fight on paper but you never know!

I don't think the Fury v Ruiz fight is a bad fight to be honest. I expected a lot worse. Obviously expect Fury to win but at least he's fighting a solid top 10 fighter and he's probably in most people's top 5 or 6.

Is it classed as mandatory defence?

Still in shock after the Ngannou fight, gents. I was very confident that Fury wasn't as good as everyone thought. His behaviour in avoiding fights and picking certain opponents basically told you that. But I never expected an MMA fighter with no boxing experience to be the one to expose him. I couldn't believe what I was watching.

Fury looked really slow in the there tonight. He looked slow in his last fight with Wilder and he's been in with Whyte and Chisora since then. Both of those are slow plodders. I can't see Fury going anywhere near Usyk now, unless he's cashing out.

Let’s be honest, even taking away the ridiculous sham of a decision, it was a steaming pile of **** as a contest anyway. Both fighters were very poor on the night and really didn’t contest it wholeheartedly. Fury definitely didn’t take it seriously. Was just an easy nights gentle mess about for millions each and they both knew it.
