Top draw tonight, just like watching last season. Injury and form may mean he plays most games now. He has something no one else in our squad has.
He changed the game. Alongside Hackney he was the best player on the pitch. You have always been ridiculously harsh about him.For the record, I thought Jones had a great second half tonight and the wide open game played to his strengths with acres of space to exploit. It’s the hyperbole that gets me on here - he wasn’t ‘man of the match’ but had a great 45 mins after 9 months when he was poor consistently passing the ball back 5 yards and not taking people on - his main asset. He also at that time couldn’t cross for toffee. I am delighted when any Boro player makes me eat my words and would love to see Jones play like he did last night for the next five years for us but please stop making him the new Messi again after 45 mins of a very open game.
It does seem however St Mirren may have to wait a while to get their man
I agree with you about the hyperbole on here about him, and he's by no means the finished article, but it has to be said it wasn't "a very open game" when he came on - he made it soFor the record, I thought Jones had a great second half tonight and the wide open game played to his strengths with acres of space to exploit. Well objectively that's just nonsense, because he was Man of the Match as awarded on Sky.It’s the hyperbole that gets me on here - he wasn’t ‘man of the match’
Hyperbole from the sky pundits too then? Because they gave him man of the match. It’s the hyperbole that gets me on here - he wasn’t ‘man of the match’ but had a great 45 mins

He was definitely man of the match. He changed the game completely and he should have had about 5 assists had we been more even more clinical. For the record, I thought Jones had a great second half tonight and the wide open game played to his strengths with acres of space to exploit. A fair assessment, he has been very poor for a while but who knows what has been going on behind closed doors. If he can maintain what he did last night then he will be a massive threat for the push. For the record, I thought Jones had a great second half tonight and the wide open game played to his strengths with acres of space to exploit.
