Jacob Greaves

Err another one from my Notebook 📖✍️
Looks like the recruitment team only have one source of info....AND ITS MINE 👍

Nobby's Choice No.4 Jacob Greaves didn't put a foot wrong and in particular completely nullified the threat of Balogun with timely interceptions and blocks. He also stood up to the different threat of Coburn at the end.

Jacob Greaves, age 21 and born in Cottingham, a suburb of Hull . Only made his senior debut in Sept 20 after spending time on loan at Cheltenham. Already made 79 apps for Hull and signed a 3 year contract in 2020.

Definitely one for the future and 3 years younger than Dael Fry, Jacob Greaves he's in the famous Notebook

Would love to sign Jacob Greaves, but I struggle to see where he fits in with Fry, Lenihan, McNair and Dijksteel...
He's left footed so offers something different, but we'd have 5 players for 3 positions, and all will want to play every game.

5 for 3 sounds about right if we want a strong squad looking at promotion. It's a long old season with plenty of injuries etc. McNair isn't just limited to defence too.

Right side of defence = McNair/Dijksteel
Central defence = Lenihan/Fry
Left side of defence = Greaves

add into that the magical whirly gig of McNair in a defensive midfield position and Lenihan right side of defence and we're looking at options!!

Exactly this.

Bola (if he stays) and McNair can provide cover for LCB if necessary.

Sounds like we just made an enquiry based on his contract situation, which was quickly rebuffed. Would be a good signing but can't see it progressing.
I think the fact that their chairman have publicly announced that they'd listen to offers means he's available for sure and they're trying to get the best possible transfer fee by doing so..

Not sure if a price can be agreed, but there's willingness from both sides it seems.

Yeah, sounds like that to me, we may of been waiting for money in to commit anymore and just tried our look with a low bid first.

Bola and Coulson don't seem to be favoured either.

Hall, Uche and Akpom need moving on still too.

Djed Spence - Spurs
Grant Hall - Milwall
Uche Ipeazu - Rotherham
Chubba Akpom - PAOK
Hayden Coulson - Sunderland
Martin Payero - Girona
Marc Bola - Blackpool
Luke Daniels - Bolton
Jeremy Sivi - Queen of the South
Sam Folarin - Hartlepool
Caolan Boyd-Munce - Wigan

maybe?

Wow you're now doing a list of all our outgoing players and their likely destinations...
Genius 👍
