On loan at Bolton Wanderers last season from Manchester City.
21 in October.
Kept 22 clean sheets for the Trotters last season.
Meanwhile Steffen is reportedly available for £10M.

Know a player who plays for Bolton (family relation) who said that him and Conor Bradley are top class- have watched them a couple of times and Bradley looks decent, works hard with some good technical ability but Trafford looks good, commanding and good with his feet, however Steffen if we can get him would be a great piece of business.

Not for £10m and high wages. He is probably not better than much cheaper options that will become available.

I mentioned this lad during the Bolton semi final last week. Highly rated, few Prem teams are interested in buying apparently.

There’s another young English goalkeeper at Ajax called Charlie Setford who’s also very highly rated, only 19 though.

Something to be said for young goal-keepers:

Archie Mair, on loan from Norwich, made two superb penalty saves for Notts v Chesterfield at Wembley two weeks ago.
6` 6" tall. 22. Ex Aberdeen player. Could do with more game time........buy and send out on loan?

Saves: [08:23 / 09:07]
First with his hand.
The second with a kick as he flew threw the air to his right!

No it wouldn't, very average keeper with a poor shot to save ratio !

Championship short passes by GK:
Darlow or Ingram would be good options that can play the short passing game and have lots of experience. Was Darlow only on loan at Hull?

League One:
Trafford would be a superb option, young but already got nearly 90 starts under his belt. Possible future England keeper. My concern with him is it would only be a loan and would be tough on Brynn to get a younger keeper in on loan above him.

League Two:
That Brynn lad could be a great backup.

This would be a very strange signing and send out the wrong message to Sol Brynn as he's 2 years younger than Sol. Can't see it myself.

I think it would be very strange not to make a signing which improves a position we need, in fear of sending the wrong message to an academy player who isn't good enough to fill that position...
