Johnson flies home in a private jet

I wonder who paid for the jet too! No doubt one of those multi-millionaires actually shaping this government's policies.

It is unbelievable that he leaves a climate summit in a private jet but as I stated at the start of the COP26, near 500 private jets were used to transport dignitaries to and from it.

Miss Thunberg was right when she used her blah, blah, blah analogy.

I'm by no way BoJo's biggest fan - the cretinous nerk. But I don't quite get peoples frustrations at matters like this at times.

As a society we must surely be aware of the level of terrorism risk especially around global events such as COP26. There were double the amount of private non-commercial flying into Prestwick Airport than a usual week, and I'd imagine a lot of these were delegates at COP26 that flew in and out of Scotland privately under the radar.

I get the sense of irony and contradiction after the 'pledges' but not all politicians and world leaders can sit on the floor of a train like the previous opposition.

Not sure about this to be honest. People take flights all the time that aren't strictly necessary.

It doesn't look good but lots of us get on aeroplanes all the time.

Yes, I guess he'd just look like a hypocrite eventually, even if he did take the train for this one event. I expect the security arrangements for train travel are more of an issue, and they'd have to reserve carriages for him.

Ideally he'd share public space on a train, or even a domestic flight, but that's never going to happen for the prime minister. I once spotted Ed Miliband, and his family, on an EasyJet flight to Denmark! Once he'd visited the toilet he spent a good proportion of the flight talking to a member of the public who was sat in the seats near it.

I don't know what the fuss is about, doesn't everyone use a private jet to attend an exclusive members dinner?
An exclusive ‘male only’ dinner for journalists, I mean you wouldn’t want a squeaky in there would you 🙄. Exclusive not inclusive.
Remind me, it is 2021 not 1921.
