He looked exactly what he is when he came on - a raw youngster.

That moment when he had the ball down the right side and tried to beat his man - you knew he was never going to beat him and it showed his inexperience. He should have held it up, got his head up and waited for some support to arrive.

Send him out on loan to League One.

Wouldn’t say he dug him out
Being 1 of 4 strikers at the club, getting 30 minutes on the pitch and then being told he needs to leave to get game time, while honest is hardly a ringing endorsement.
I hope he told Josh first before going on the radio.

"We’ve got really high hopes for Josh, but we possibly feel that in his progression and his development that he maybe needs to go out [on loan] and play regular football and get into a rhythm."

I personally think a loan is the best decision, as long as the strikers we bring in are of the right quality.

He's definitely got potential, but he does struggle at times.

I think josh has a big future in the game, clearly has more about him at this level than many other youth strikers before him. If we can get cover in a loan would be great but really important he gets the right place where he’s first choice

I’d rather keep him and sell Watmore.

He’s the only forward we have that offers something different, he’s a big unit but is pretty mobile.

He needs get in the gym and add some more upper body strength, but he’s certainly a better finisher than Akpom and Watmore.

If he’s going out on loan that’s three strikers we need - i say keep him here
Me too. The lad always is direct and positive and to me, looks likely and certainly isn’t afraid to score. In fact, loves scoring goals.
He is surely got to be coming on for akpom until we find more ammunition up top ?
Wilder can’t play watmore and forss up top together because neither of them can hold the ball up.
It’ll lead to defeat if he does that next week at QPR.
Has to be akpom and forss or akpom and watmore protecting josh for now but I certainly don’t want to lose him to a loan unless we bring in two players like muniz which probably isn’t going to happen.

Absolutely. Well said. Why can’t people see this ?

He looked better than Forss yesterday.
Early days for Forss and needs time with his team, but it was a debut that supported the view that all he might be is a finisher.

My thoughts exactly. I might be wrong but feels like a panic buy. With more physicality desperately needed up front or someone to hold the ball up because we lack midfield ‘real’ physicality other than crooksy it just didn’t seem to be the kind of signing we needed in forss
