Josh Coburn

Now that we know it's another season in the Championship, what would you like to see happen regarding Coburn next season?

10 goals in 35 appearances is a decent record considering he's a young lad, and I'm sure he'll have benefited from getting a full season under his belt.

If we get Archer back on loan it would be great to have two strikers with different styles competing for the no 9 role.
If wilder goes to reading, so will
Coburn. Perfect fit.

Coburns attributes, alongside Carricks style would suggest he would be an excellent bench option when we are chasing games. Great movement in the box and an instinctive finisher if he gets a chance.

He should be all the better for the tough 2nd half of the season he had at Rovers. As someone else posted on here, look at how HH was doing at scunny, then he smashed it with us.

That is exactly what Kieron Scott said last season - he really believes that it will be better for Coburn facing challenges at Bristol Rovers than sailing through the loan - just like Hayden Hackney.

I wonder how much the Muniz loan cost us. Can't have been cheap.
I imagine 1-2mil(ish) loan fee. I mean we apparently paid 2mil for Hugill. That was a few years ago.

You'd think a minimum of 50% wages (I'd expect more).

That said. They beat us to his signature at 6-7mil. So guess it's not all bad. I imagine we genuinely expected him to go to another club in Jan. Apparently Fulham only wanted a perm. Doubt many would pay what they would want.

Coburn should be in the squad but he's too inexperienced to be relied upon as a main striker. If we manage to strengthen well, I'd loan him out again otherwise he could be useful in some games. Gyokeres and or Ross Stewart with Archer if we can get him. This is assuming Chuba is sold.

Its an ambitious list but there is a lot of quality getting relegated this year. I believe it will be more difficult than ever to get promoted. All of the relegated teams are established sides, not yoyo clubs.

He was good going forward but probably worse at defending than Giles. Needed a strong coach to guide him, but never had one.

This definitely looks like a Woodgate influenced second/last chance. Interesting to see how it pans out.
He’s poor, tidy enough on the ball but does little with it. Off the ball he’s poor. He’s a league two quality player unless he has a massive upturn

He has had a full season of regular football. Added to the football he played for us. I don't think he is too inexperienced. It's a squad game and he should be in our squad.

Jones and Hackney broke through from obscurity and it would be less of a surprise if Coburn did the same.

Gyokeres and/or Ross Stewart as well as Archer? Can I have some of whatever you are smoking? :ROFLMAO:
