Jude Bellingham

What's to say Bellingham doesn't want to remain in Germany? I'm sure Bayern Munich will be monitoring him closely too. Money talks of course and not even Bayern can compete financially with the big English clubs. Hopefully Bellingham isn't in a rush to return to England. Look what has happened to Sancho - he was tearing the Bundesliga apart and has gone backwards at Man United.

wherever he goes I suspect that only Bayern, Real, Barca, PSG, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle, maybe Chelsea can afford him.

I could see him at Madrid or Bayern or City for footballing reasons

He'll have his pick of teams. Probably this summer. The only concern is he keeps his appetite for the game (he seems to love it) and doesn't get burn out from the amount of games he's played at such a young age. Great all-round midfielder. His energy is amazing. Allied to that is great awareness and skill.

needs luck on the injury front too

Whatever happens in this tournament, I think it's safe to say Jude will be offered a blank cheque by many clubs.

Dortmund are laughing with every minutes he's on the pitch as his valuation is rising by the second.

I think he'd suit Madrid and they're going to replace Modric and Kroos soon you would think, they got shown up by Mbappe being a bell-whiff so a sensible English lad might fit the bill for their next 'galactico' signing.

I can definitely see them signing him because they like to buy the hype but they have just signed Tchouameni, probably as Casemiro's replacement and Camavinga and they have the Uruguayan Valverde. They might not be as good as Casemiro, Kroos and Modric so they might try again and go for something better in which case Bellingham might fit the bill.

He’d be perfect Madrid love a midfield pivot as much as and 10 don’t forget the makalele position was born in Madrid and not Chelsea.

It seems the best players are consistently showing their worth at much younger ages now than before. Previously all the finished articles were 24-26, now they are just about complete players at 21/22. Vicnius, Valverde, Foden, Bellingham. I guess the professionalism, quality training (both physical and mental and tactical) really helps accelerate the development of top players.

For every player that breaks through there's another bunch that got lost in the big club system. I always think of Bamford as being 22 or 23. That's because he's only just broken through after wasting his career on loan at various clubs with no incentive to play him.

If he has the chance to go to City he'd be daft not to. Playing alongside de Bryne and co in that midfield would bring him on leaps and bounds.

He's a different type of player but he reminds me of Viera with the way he moves around the pitch, he's probably a bit quicker than Vieira actually.

Vieira was the name that came to my mind too.

I remember us playing Arsenal at home just after they'd signed him. We'd got Emerson and were convinced we'd bought the most complete midfielder in the Premier League. We all thought differently after that game.

That's the last time I can remember taking one look at a midfielder and realising instantly that he had everything. Like I say, Bellingham reminds me of him.

Players who don’t dedicate themselves on and off the pitch don’t last very long in big club academies these days. It means they churn through hundreds of players who drift around the leagues through loans or drop out of the game altogether but the elite few who make it have been through a rapid development path. Barcelona have been doing it for decades. It’s great to see our clubs and our kids come through at such a high level.
