Just stop oil at the rugby today

Seems like you must be right about the rugby.
If it happened at a proper rugby (league) match the outcome might have been different.
And the response on here I suggest. If a "working class" sport was disrupted.

It's a shame really. Because the environment is really important but apparently not as important as a class war for some.

No that's not my point.

My point is I'm sure most of the 61000im there are aware of the environment and the challenges we face. We certainly are. So all just stop oil are doing is annoying people trying to enjoy the main day in whatever their fave pastime is. I get protests have to cause disruption o just think last week they will have lost support rather than gained it. Trashing a garden and disrupting a rugby match make them less popular. And less likely to be listened to

The protests aren't aimed at event attendees - they're collateral damage. They choose prominent live televised events which guarantees live coverage yet cause limited disruption. This, in turn, generates further press coverage, online debate etc. It's obviously controversial but it's a much better strategy than their previous approach of interfering with travel.

Depends on the travel I guess. cars are surely fair game given their target?
