needs must, limited funds and a job not fancied by many - keep costs down and to tread water in the championship for a seasonI think if Scott had been in his role at the time the decision to appoint Woodgate would never have happened
Warnock was 'the most important signing the club had made in a long time'Scott could be the most important signing the club had made in a long time.
Seems to have a plan and vision and stands no nonsense, able to make tough decisions
Looks like we've gone all professional.A good and interesting read.
Think we have made a really good football decision in bringing in Scott. Sounds like a large part of the decision to get rid of Warnock was his which is good to know he doesn’t accept rubbish. Super appointment in Wilder too.
Middlesbrough's head of football Kieran Scott on his Riverside role
AT the start of our interview, a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face in these Covid-affected times, Kieran Scott took his phone out of his pocket…www.thenorthernecho.co.uk
We certainly wouldn't have appointed three managers in quick succession who were so stylistically different.Great to hear the penny has dropped for Gibson that he needs more help with footballing decisions, particularly on who to appoint as manager. Last time someone picked a manager for him we were promoted 2 and a half seasons later.
I daresay if Scott had been here at the time we wouldn't have appointed Monk, Pulis or Woodgate. And we wouldn't have needed to appoint Warnock.
