Way to much for him imho and very underwhelmed, seems to be another Conway copy according to my Hull mates, has he had a fitness test ?

for minutes played last season he was 0.3gpg and 0.19 assists per game, combined that's a goal involvement every 2 games. thats the kind of player we want to have coming off the bench or starting when people are injured, suspended our out of form. he is basically the same goal scoring rate as conway, with the same work rate and willingness to press, so whether he starts or comes on, he will contribute.
worth a few million in my book and their fans rate him which is diffent to the usual "he's *****"

if he's a copy of one of the top goalscorers/assisters in the league that drove much of our attack last season I am alright with that.

They do rate him, I know quite few Hull ST holders, they do say he is has a very high work rate for closing down players. I've a feeling he will play where Conway does and Conway will play CF. He is 6'1" and scored a decent header for them, looks sharp in the box and reacts well on the rebounds. I just think we need a more physically strong presence. But it does look like we are signing him, as long as we managed to rid ourselves of some the deadwood we might have a bit of strength in depth up front this season.
We don't know whether Conway will come back well from his injury op, or if McGree can improve and stay fit. Also the same with Jones at the back, we can't rely to much on Ayling again. We have squad to rebuild in with major positions to fill with decent competent players and I think it's a huge task tbh, and don't expect promotion this season, I will be patient with Kim's endeavours this season though.

When Conway was crocked we failed to function. This was obvious. I think it will be one or the other playing high intensity and replacing each other from the bench. I think there will be at least 1 more striker coming in

We were god awful off the bench this season. Adding more quality in the forward areas addresses this issue.
We had a dire lack of a physical presence in forward areas, Joseph has the profile to address this issue
We also lacked any one who could press effectively when TC wasnt on the pitch, this signing addresses that.
We can get our knickers in a twist about the fee, or that he isnt the mythical 20 goal a season striker everyone craves, but for me its far more important the KH has the tools to implement the system and style he wants.

Hull should be paying us double that to take him off their hands.
Any normal football fan could see this, and be able to negotiate such a deal. It’s easy. Amateur hour from Boro as usual. Booooooooooo!!!
At least we know that he should hit the ground running, and we know what we are going to get from him.

People saying he's just another Conway - but Conway did a good job last season. OK his finishing from open play was below his past standard, but it does vary with most strikers. 26 goals in 82 league games for Boro is not too shabby.
£5m seems a high price if that is the price - I would be OK with £4m for a better than average Championship player who has experience and yet to hit his peak years. His wages will not be at the Fry level.
