Anna turley and Paul Williams. My personal view this would be an own goal for Labour. Brexit is becoming less of an issue but people won’t forget them. It’s no surprises an increase of conservative councillors happened.

I think they should go with new candidate

Are those the candidates? Or are you saying those would be a mistake?

So what you are saying is if Labour candidates are pro EU they shouldn’t stand in “leave areas” despite the fact that they could be excellent MPs. I am very uncomfortable with that way of thinking

Also, bumming Brexit is now a minority opinion.

I am on this occasion. It would bother my I’m pro eu, but I know that people who are of right leaning with Redcar don’t like Anna turley, and they wouldn’t vote for her

You only have to look at the hartlepool by election to know what standing a pro eu candidate does in right leaning (being kind by not saying areas that have more than their fair share of racists) will do.

If the people of Redcar vote for the Tories because they dislike a particular and growing popular conviction of a candidate then they deserve the kind of representative like Clarke. A sh1t MP. They will anyway I would suggest.
