Labour Party exposee

You know what? I couldn't care less - I just want the Tories out and sadly voting Green / Lib Dem / Indi / Spoiled Ballot won't achieve that.

Sometimes one has to hold one's nose and do what's best for everyone rather than themselves.
The problem i have with this is that it is abundantly clear that a group of Labour MPs and members of the executive also wanted a Tory government in 2017 and 2019 knowing that Johnson would be the next PM. so I ask myself 'why should I give a damn?' The Labour party is now a corrupt, racist organisation and the sham anti-Semitism scandal that they set up to destroy the left is now set to also destroy the right.

I am seriously beginning to think that JC losing in 17 was a blessing because no matter how he had handled Covid, Ukraine and and the resulting cost of living crisis, the Tory opposition, the media and the right of the Labour party would have coalesced to make it look disastrous.

Difficult to argue with any of that!

I won’t be voting Labour at the next election it’s a basket case. The right wing is being accused of fabricating racism and anti semitism and violence at meetings and making up spitting claims from the left as well as having secret back channel accounts. Plus overturning votes and candidate wins to remove them and recast votes. And Starmer has been so dishonest in his pledges.

It’s scandalous that we have a party that itself is working towards sabotaging the chances of the party who the public votes for. If this was Russia we would be calling it a tinpot corrupted state 🤷🏻‍♂️

And some of the people mentioned are still in the party. I think one is on the Labour NEC now 🤷🏻‍♂️

But if you think hold your nose and vote Labour can I just say that essentially says don’t deal with any of the report findings and let’s risk the media won’t at some point focus on this before an election - so that stance comes with massive risk

And this is the same media that in the report is accused of reporting accusations without even checking witnesses such as did anyone see spitting or racism but instead reporting that racism and violence had happened 🤦‍♂️

But if Labour does loose the next election then that’s on those in Labour not the voters
Enjoy the Tory reign then

The Independent

Oh, look. I've found an article that says the left are a bunch of baby-eating demons too.

However, the question was which MPs were deselected.

We are enjoying it.

Mainly because the people that are now telling us to hold our noses were too busy using their fingers to flick us the V when it actually mattered.

There's no point saying that it now matters more. The damage is done. The country is a burning wreck and the alternative has proven to be duplicitous and untrustworthy.

The best thing to do now is batten down the hatches and hope the evangelicals are right about the Rapture.

It comes down to "Who are Labour"?

What do they represent - who do they represent?

It looks like between them and the Tories it is much of a muchness.
No it’s not and it never has been.

This is the rubbish pedalled by Tories when they know the Tory Party is going to lose.

I heard it in the run up to 1997 and we will hear a lot of it over the next 2 years.

Oh well, you will just have no alternative but to vote Tory (again).

Shxt happens, don’t beat yourself up over it.

The Tories are probably more disunited and backstabbing but that never seems to bother their voter base because they want their side to win an election.

Right my fault even though I was a member back in 2019 being emailed by Labour to help campaign in Milton Keynes while others in the party are being accused of deliberately trying to lose the election 🤦‍♂️

And a right wing press will choose not to weaponise this before the next general election because? 🤔
If you are not voting labour then your supporting the tories ( unless you live an area where the Lib Dems are a better chance of winning the seats)

So the Labour MPs and members of the executive who were actively acting to lose two general elections; who were they supporting?
Were they of the opinion that any Labour government is better than any Tory government or was there some ulterior motive and if so, what was it?

The Independent

Oh, look. I've found an article that says the left are a bunch of baby-eating demons too.

However, the question was which MPs were deselected.
Many articles detailed the bullying of sitting MP’s (and Labour Councillors)and anyone who did not subscribe to the Momentum philosophy. There is intolerance on both wings of the party, and the mutual loathing seems greater than that directed toward the real enemy. Your puerile, dismissive tone is sadly indicative of this. Perhaps you would rather the Tories than SKS?
But you are correct, despite the best efforts of Jon Lansman, who compiled a hit list of 50 MP’s, none were deselected.
A friend of mine, who had been a member of the PLP for over 40 years, and a serving councillor, was abused and spat at by a Momentum member for disagreeing with their tactics. Not quite eating babies, but pretty reprehensible.

Ruthsayer “Interesting as we also saw moderate MP’s being de-selected and bullied by the extreme left wing.”

You’ve been asked twice now to name a single MP that YOU claim has been deselected so I’ll ask you a third time who was deselected?

I checked the record the last Labour MP who was deselected was in 2010 and called Anne Moffatt

The number of Labour MPs deselected under Jeremy Corbyn was zero

And now you’re saying there’s evidence of media articles backing up the bullying

You want to link them?
I did link them above EIB. If you search you will find plenty of articles. I’ve cited my own experience above. Talking to the councillor, this was not an isolated incident.
I have also responded on the de-selection. Anger and the odd pint led to my error. No problem in admitting when I’m wrong.
JC, despite some errors (in my opinion) has immense integrity and I agreed with most of his policies, especially re-Nationalisation. Unfortunately, he was unable to control and shape his supporters. Just my take on stuff having watched politics since the days of Wilson.

See above I was a member and went to meetings and helped deliver leaflets for my local candidate as she’s a family friend. I still have labour carrier bags to carry the leaflets in 👍

But attack me honestly I’ve done my bit to help Labour and don’t even feel arsed you’re trying to be offensive 🤦‍♂️
I’m not trying to be offensive or personal I’m just frustrated that with the worst Tory government ever to darken the steps of Downing Street I read posts like yours.

Do you think the average Tory activist cares a jot about similar problems in the Tory Party?

Of course not, and that’s why we keep getting saddled with them.

@ruthsayer

I’m sorry to be persistent you said “moderate MPs have been de-selected and bullied”

You either stand by that comment and name the individual MPs or you accept you either made it up or don’t know what you’re talking about

So for a 4th time who was deselected and bullied?

Er, I said above that I made an error. Being a little tipsy and having direct experience of Momentum was a cause. So, for the second time, I got it wrong, apologies for that. But, I absolutely stand by my second point of moderate and long serving PLP members, MO’s and councillors facing aggression from Momentum.
I’m not sure why you haven’t read my previous posts. Perhaps apoplexy has seized your optic nerves?
As a coda, I would add that anyone who doesn’t vote Labour where they are the first or second party, should not complain when we get 5 more years of the Tories. Be realistic people.

Firstly, I'm not sure what word you were actually looking for but "puerile"?

I asked you to back your statement up. You still haven't. And now you've thrown in another accusation against the left without a shred of proof.

All the articles you linked (and the one I linked) came from exactly the same place. Getting rid of some light democratic-socialism was more important than truth, integrity or people's lives.

And you want me to back the people that did (and continue to do) that. SKS is no better than the Tories so I don't see it as an either/or.

Name the councillor who was spat at. Name the Momentum member who did it. It's obviously something that definitely happened so there'll be no worries with libel (or slander - not sure where anonymout message boards sit legally).

It's a bit surprising that the information isn't on the web though, considering the articles you linked (and the one I linked) would have been greatly enhanced by such a newsworthy item.

It reminds me of when Momentum smashed the windows of Angela Eagle's offices and then it turned out they didn't. But once the muck's been spread...

---Edit---
I see you've taken back your claim about deselections. Perhaps you might want to do the same about the spitting incident (many of which were also 'reported' but none of which have ever, to my knowledge, been proven).

The right of the party have removed hundreds of left-leaning members. The left didn't do anything remotely similar. As always it's the right projecting their own modus operandi onto their perceived enemies and then crying foul.
